Listen to the meaning of playing the flute

The explanation of "listening to the flute on the fortress" is:

The northwest frontier was blocked, the ice and snow melted, and the soldiers returned. At night, in the moonlight, the soldiers on the sentry post played melodious Qiangdi. Where does the sentimental "plum blossom tune" drift? It seems to fall on the mountain like plum blossoms falling with the wind.

Original text:

Snow-clean horses graze in the daytime, and Qiangdi guards the building in the moonlight.

Excuse me, where did the plum blossom fall? The wind blew all over the mountain overnight.

Poetry appreciation

The whole poem uses synaesthesia to show the frontier fortress scenery and frontier life in a way of combining reality with reality. The first two lines of the poem, "Snow goes back to the horse, and the Qiangdi guards the building on the moon", describe the real scene of the frontier fortress: the snow and ice melt to the north of the lake, and the soldiers release their horses in the evening, and suddenly they hear the melodious and euphemistic sound of the Qiangdi coming from the building covered by the bright moon.

At the beginning, a broad and clear night scene with the thawing of the earth and the late return of the horses was outlined, which showed the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of the frontier fortress and set a cheerful and magnificent tone for the whole poem.

The last two sentences, "Where did the plum blossom fall, and the wind blew all over the mountain overnight", were answered and asked, pointing out that the tune played by Qiangdi was "Plum Blossom Fall". The soldiers listened to the tune of this hometown, as if the wind was blowing flowers in their hometown instead of flutes, and it spread all over the mountains overnight.

The poet dismantled and used plum blossoms to form a virtual scene of plum blossoms falling in the wind, which creatively and skillfully expressed the people's homesickness without hurting them. The whole poem is unique in conception, imagination and emotion, which is a rare work with cheerful and optimistic style in frontier fortress poems.
