Preface to the works of Sun Liren, a famous writer of World War II.

Sun Liren, a patriotic anti-Japanese general, was born in Jinniu Village, Lujiang County on June 7, 2000. From 65438 to 0998, with the assistance of General Sun's hometown and Mr. Ding Dixun, a veteran of the former New China Army stationed in India, the Anhui Provincial Political Consultative Conference collected millions of words of relevant materials and articles about the memories of 40 or 50 relatives and veterans of General Sun, and compiled two works with more than 500,000 words, namely Biography of Sun Liren and Collection of Commemorative Works, which were published by Anhui People's Publishing House. At that time, it was one of the few important works in mainland China that systematically introduced General Sun's heroic achievements against Japan. It preserves the glorious history of the Sino-Burmese War of Resistance and is a very valuable patriotic textbook. General Sun was imprisoned by Chiang Kai-shek in Taiwan Province Province for 33 years from 1956. After the death of the two Chiang Kai-shek, he was freed in 1989 and died in 1 19 at the age of 90. During this period, a large number of works introducing and commemorating General Sun appeared at home and abroad, including the United States and Taiwan Province Province, and the mainland was no exception. Fairness, justice and freedom of thought, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in the last century was a decisive battle for the Chinese nation's life and death. General Sun Liren not only participated in two battles on the domestic battlefield. In particular, he led the new 38th Division (formerly the New First Army) to participate in the Indo-Myanmar War of Resistance in the Southeast Asian Theater, fought side by side with the Anglo-American Allied Forces, wiped out more than ten thousand Japanese invaders in Myanmar, and the rest were expelled from Myanmar, winning a great victory in opening the Sino-Indian highway and becoming a world-recognized world war II star. All China people with conscience will never forget the heroes who made great contributions to War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and their achievements.

20 10 is the 20th anniversary of General Sun's birth 1 10 and his death. I'm glad to hear that Taiwan Province Province has transformed the former residence of General Sun in Taichung City into a memorial hall. Lujiang County, Anhui Province has also renovated the former residence of General Sun's ancestral home, which was renovated and converted into a memorial hall two years ago, and commemorative activities are planned. Some veterans in mainland China completed the book "China's troops stationed in, China, Myanmar and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression" in 2008. In March and April of 2009, Comrade Ding Dixun proposed to compile commemorative anthologies twice on the occasion of the 20th1kloc-0/0th anniversary of General Sun's birthday (see Selected Letters of Ding Dixun) .20067.0000000000005 Through our continuous efforts, we collected commemorative articles from relatives and veterans of General Sun at home and abroad, which won everyone's full support. By the beginning of June, we had got nearly 40 articles with more than 230,000 words, including Sun Ningren, the younger sister of General Sun (USA), Sun Anping, Sun Anping, Sun Jinyu, the adopted son of General Sun (USA), Bing Xin, Lao She and other famous writers. General Sun's Tsinghua alumnus and Pan Baijian's five children also served in Sun's army after returning to the United States in the same boat, and wrote an article "Memories in Duyun", which reflected the situation of General Sun's training in Duyun from one side. Liang Shiqiu, an old classmate of General Sun in Tsinghua, became a literary leader after studying in the United States on the same boat. His daughter Liang (American) (writer) also sent nostalgic articles, precious photos and the handwriting of General Sun. Veteran Zhou Ming Dao's posthumous work "Supplementary Information of Xue Qingyu's Biography of General Sun Liren"; Editorial Committee of China's Troops in India and Myanmar during the Anti-Japanese War supplemented the list of dead soldiers and existing soldiers of the new army of India and Myanmar in the book, which is also a very precious historical material, and its "errata" is detailed, which is more conducive to our reading of the book. There are also articles written by General Sun's fellow countryman, Xia, member of the Standing Committee of Lujiang County Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the County Cultural Bureau, Ge, an expert on China's anti-Japanese history, and Lu Jiefeng, an expert on modern revolutionary cultural relics in Guangzhou, which are of great reference value.

The editorial board of this book is basically composed of the editorial board of the original book China's troops stationed in India, India, Myanmar and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, but the following changes have been made:

1. Comrade Xu Wen passed away and was replaced by Comrade Li Chongpei;

2. Supplementary professor (University of Waterloo, Canada), in addition to writing articles commemorating memories, has done a lot of work in contacting General Sun's overseas relatives;

3. Supplement Professor Pan Yanong (Chaohu College, Anhui Province).
