Rich in olives, plums, oranges, honey pomelo and seedless persimmons, it is famous for its olives, rotten vegetables and dried noodles. Ceramic production has a long history, dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty. Dongqiao Yiyou ancient kiln site 12 square kilometers is the largest existing ancient kiln site in China. Building ceramics and electric porcelain have achieved large-scale development. It is a ceramic production base county in China and enjoys the reputation of "Southeast Porcelain Capital". Rich in water resources, the per capita water resources are 3,975 cubic meters, which is 24.2% higher than that of the whole province. There are the largest Shuikou hydropower station in East China and 204 small and medium-sized hydropower stations in the county, with an annual power generation of 6.03 billion kWh. It is one of the first 100 rural electrification pilot counties in China.
