To borrow a sentence from the poet Yuan: The poet's life is like everything in the world can't live without sunshine and air. Poets always feel every detail of life with a sensitive heart, bit by bit, and then intervene with poetry.
Life is actually a real life experience process. The process of a poet's life is to feel life, and then intervene in thinking with words-as long as it is life, the deeper he feels, the deeper he thinks, and finally he realizes some kind of "vacancy".
Dai Wangshu's Rain Lane depicts a lyrical artistic conception with strong symbolic color for us. He compared the dark and dreary social reality at that time to a narrow and lonely "rain lane". There is no sound, no joy, no sunshine here. The poet himself is a lonely person, wandering in such a rainy lane.
He is full of good hope in loneliness. I hope there is a beautiful ideal in front of me. Therefore, the "lilac-like" girl described by the poet is a symbol of this beautiful ideal. However, the poet knows that this beautiful ideal is difficult to realize in reality. She is as full of sadness and disappointment as herself, and the beautiful feeling is fleeting, drifting away like a dream. Only the poet himself lingers in the dark reality, and those unfulfilled hopes float away like dreams.
The whole poem consists of seven sections. In the first section, I wrote "I", "I am holding an oil-paper umbrella", "I am alone" and "I am wandering in a long and lonely rain lane". In this long and lonely rain lane, "I hope" I meet a girl like lilac. This "lilac girl" is my imagination, my pursuit and my hope.
The second section is to further imagine and supplement this "lilac-like girl", enrich her from the aspects of vision, smell, feeling and emotion, and highlight the resentment and gentle temperament of lilac girl. Lilac girl stopped in the rain "sadly and hesitatingly". At this time, she was connected with the rain, and used the rain to set off her sadness, which reminded readers of it like an ink painting.
In the third section, I wrote this "lilac-like girl" and "like me" who were fascinated by me, walking silently in this lonely rain lane, and the atmosphere of "indifference, sadness and melancholy" was full of such situations.
In the fourth section, it is written that "she" and "I" met in this long and lonely rain lane. Compared with "me", "she" just silently approached and cast a "sighing look", and then "she" floated over like a dream.
In the fifth section, I wrote that this "lilac-like girl" passed by me, and then "she" walked away silently and finished this "rainy lane".
In the sixth quarter, I completely missed this "Lilac Girl". Although "I" don't give up, "she" is still in my eyes. In this sad rain, "her color disappeared", "her fragrance disappeared", "her sighing eyes disappeared" and "her lilac melancholy".
So, in the seventh paragraph, "I" walked alone with an oil-paper umbrella, wandering in the rain lane, hoping to meet the "lilac-like girl" again. However, the hope of meeting this "lilac-like girl" again is slim, so I can only settle for the second best and look forward to meeting her in my dream.
This poem is both true and empty, hazy and trance. The "I" in the poem seems to be full of worries and infinite worries, but I don't want to make it clear or say it. This "I" seems to be looking forward to something, pursuing something, and the goal of looking forward to and pursuing seems so distant and slim. At this time, the "she" in the poem appeared, either in an illusion or true, but the appearance of "she" was so fast, so fast, fleeting and disappeared in front of my eyes, "like a dream."
On the surface, Rain Lane is about the lyric hero's sweet and sad feelings for the "Lilac Girl" he met in Rain Lane, hoping to meet this "Lilac Girl" again. But in fact, the "Lilac Girl" in Rain Lane is just a symbolic image created by the poet. This girl floating like a dream and sad like a clove is just an illusion of the lyric hero in the poem. The girl "Lilac" was born from the scenery and with the scenery, which constituted the hazy and mysterious atmosphere of this poem.
"Lilac" girl, as sad and confused as a dream, has a faint fuzzy aura; And her symbolic meaning may be regarded as a true reference for readers. She is a beautiful, noble and melancholy girl that the poet has been waiting for for a long time. But we can also regard this "girl" as a hazy ideal and pursuit in the poet's heart, which represents the poet's hazy vision for the future when his life is depressed.
Dai Wangshu's poems have won the charm of graceful and restrained poetic style in China's classical poems, and influenced by the French symbolism poetry school, so his early poems generally show the characteristics of loneliness, melancholy and depression. This is the case in the rainy lane. This poem is about a scene in an alley in the south of the Yangtze River during the rainy season. In the drizzle, "I" walked alone in a long remote alley with a lonely and melancholy mood and a faint hope.
In Rain Lane, we can see that the image of "lilac" in China's classical poems transformed by this poem has appeared in the poems of Li Shangyin, Du Fu and Li Jing respectively ("It is a lilac tree, and spring begins"-Li Shangyin; "Lilac is weak, and the branches are still littered"-Du Fu; "The bluebird doesn't send a message in the clouds, and the lilacs are sad in the rain"-Li Jing).
At the same time, the oil-paper umbrella, the long and lonely rain lane, the lilac-like sadness and the crumbling fence in the poem reflect a classical cultural tradition of "apricot blossom and spring rain in the south of the Yangtze River" with oriental aesthetic sentiment.
Reading Dai Wangshu's Rain Lane is always unbearable to be brought into it, as if time and space were changing, and I was in a secret corner, witnessing this silent encounter. I walked so far just to pass you by in this quiet rainy lane in the south of the Yangtze River.
There is also the hazy beauty contained in Rain Lane, which is not enough for the author to get the title of "Rain Lane Poet". The whole poem not only embodies the obscure theme, but also embodies a kind of musical beauty. The slowness caused by the continuous branches in the poem seems to be that the lyric hero is advancing and wandering in the same place, which makes the poem a rare musical beauty.
We can see that the poem begins with a long sentence: "I walked alone in a long and lonely rain lane with an oil-paper umbrella", which is divided into several short sentences and rhymes are fully used. In addition, "Rain Lane" also uses rhetorical devices such as repetition, truthfulness and echo to make the whole poem read smoothly.
It is precisely because of this hazy beauty and musical beauty that the high artistic achievement of Rain Lane has been achieved. Rain Lane has thus become a milestone in the successful practice of China's new poetry in the early enlightenment.
