Poetry can be very simple and short. For literary lovers, poetry is the gateway to Buddhism, and many writers' writing careers begin with poetry.
Paradoxically, we also know that poetry is actually the most difficult.
Poetry is not only a language form; Poetry is a "poetic heart"
The words "youth is poetry" seem to say that when you grow up, you lose your "poetic heart". The Italian writer Alberto Eco even joked that a good poet would burn all his poems when he was 18 years old.
So what does this "heart" mean to a poet?
The upcoming "April Literature Day" public forum, with the theme of "Nanyang Style of Xinhua Poetry", invites Taiwan Province poets Hung Hung and Xu Xiuzhi to share their poetry creation, creative ideas and editing experience in Singapore. Taking this opportunity, the reporter asked two poets for advice before the activity, looking for a "poetic heart".
Socialized poetic mind naturally disappears.
He was born in Taiwan Province in1960s, and Xu was there when he was two years old. They all experienced the martial law lifted in their youth, witnessed the student movement of Wild Lily, witnessed the economic take-off of the first elected president of Taiwan Province Province, and also experienced the moderns of modern literature in Taiwan Province Province.
He is also a poet with strong style. Hung Hung is bold and unconstrained, and his language image is like sword rain. He reflected on people's current situation and actively participated in social problems, just like a "homemade bomb", detonating rigid thinking. "Xu Regret" cherishes words like gold, asks about life and death, goes deep into the soul, and combines the observation of Buddhism to seek spiritual salvation in loneliness.
When it comes to "poetic mind", their answers are very consistent and very different.
Hung Hung said that the so-called "poetry is different" is different from the mainstream values of society.
"Youth comes when innocence encounters great impact of socialization, and Ran Ran, a poet, stands out as a savior. Loneliness, love and other popular themes of young poets can reflect this sense of alienation, which is a kind of "talking to himself" with his back to society. Once the socialization is completed, the poetic heart will naturally disappear. What I have been able to write is often turning to society and having something to say. "
Xu Zhuizhi also expressed a similar view. He believes that "poetic mind" is like a girl's eyes, and "poetic mind" is curiosity about the world. The reason why "poetic heart" is lost is that it is slowly consumed in the system during its growth. For example, in the workplace, people have to compromise, become cynical, keep pace with society, be trained to be "gentle, humble and frugal", and finally find it difficult to maintain themselves.
Xu regrets that he has always believed in his heart. He said, "The human mind can resist the aging of the body. Poetry makes people believe that the world can be different. People can be repaired and updated from poetry ... even the poems of rebels hope that the world will become better? "
