The kudzu grass grows long and everywhere, and the rattan leaves are dense and lush. The oriole fluttered up and down and landed on the bush, singing melodiously. The kudzu grass grows long and everywhere, and the rattan leaves are dense and lush. I am busy cutting vines, cooking and weaving hemp, weaving fine cloth, coarse cloth, making clothes and wearing them.

Tell the housekeeper the truth, I want to go home. Wash your underwear and coat quickly, whether you wash it or not, go back to your parents' house and have a look.

The source of Ge Tan:

Ge Tan, A Book of Songs, Nan Zhou. It is a folk song of the Chinese people in the pre-Qin period. The whole poem consists of three chapters with six sentences in each chapter. The theme of this poem has been debated for thousands of years. The ancients regarded it as a classic of moral education. Now people have abandoned the moral preaching of the ancients and understood it as a poem of working people.

Most ancient scholars thought that women in poems should be empresses with good female virtues, words, looks and merits, and wrote poems about the preparation of empresses before marriage, praising their virtues.

Modern scholars believe that this poem is about a woman who is going home to visit her parents. It describes that when she was picking kudzu to make clothes, she saw the gathering of yellowbirds, which aroused her hope of reunion with her parents. After obtaining the consent of her in-laws and her husband, she told the nanny at home to start washing clothes, packing things and preparing to go back to her parents' house.

The whole poem vividly expresses the heroine's joy and desire. The Book of Songs is the first collection of poems in the history of China literature. It had a far-reaching impact on the development of poetry in later generations and became the source of the realistic tradition of China's classical literature.
