Wordsworth Daffodil Appreciation

William Wordsworth-- Daffodils

I wondered lonely as a cloud,

That floats on high over vales and hills.

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host of golden daffodils,

Beside the lake,beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze,

Continuous as the stars that shine,

And wrinkle on the milky way,

They stretched in never-landing line,

Along the margin of a bay,

Ten thousand saw at a glance,

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance,

The waves beside them dances,

but they Out did the sparkling waves in glee:

A Poet could not but be gay

In such a jocund company!

I gazed—and gazed—but little thought

What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye

Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heart with pleasure fills,

And dances with the daffodils.

I wandered alone like a floating cloud

High and leisurely on the top of the valley mountain

In an instant, I saw A clump of narcissus

A clump of golden narcissus

Next to the lake, under the green trees

Swaying and dancing in the wind

Continuous as the sky Stars

Sparkling brightly in the Milky Way

Stretching out as far as the eye can see

Along the edge of the lake bay:

With just one glance, I Seeing thousands of clusters

Nodding slightly and dancing lightly

The flowing waves beside me are also dancing lightly

How can it be more joyful than the waves of flowers? Entertainment

How joyful is the poet's heart

Having such a happy partner

I stared - stared - but did not understand

The wealth brought by this wonderful scene

Often, when I lie on the bench

I am confused or depressed

They flash in my heart Move

The great joy given by the quiet world

My heart is also full of happiness

Dancing with the narcissus
