In 2009, Longtan Gorge was officially renamed "Longtan Grand Canyon". Longtan Gorge is a U-shaped canyon formed by the flowing water of purple-red quartz sandstone, with a total length of 12 kilometers. The peaks and valleys in the valley are distributed in a bead shape, with steaming clouds, splashing rapids, red walls and green shades, and cliffs. The water cutting, swirling erosion, and wear marks are very clear, and the large cliffs with ripple marks formed by giant collapsed rock blocks are rare at home and abroad. Longtan Canyon is 5.5 kilometers long. From the plan, it looks like a giant dragon lying east and west. Dragon legends are everywhere in the canyon, so people have always called it Longtan Canyon. There are six natural mysteries in the scenic area: "Water flows to high places, Buddha's Light Arhat Cliff, Giant's Fingerprint, Book on Stone, Butterfly Spring, and Immortal's Footprints". There are seven deep pool waterfalls: "Five Dragon Pool, Ambergris Pool, Green Dragon Pool, Black Dragon Pool, Wolong Pool, Yin Yang Pool and Reed Pool". Eight natural wonders: "Peerless Heavenly Monument, Spring and Autumn Period on Stone, Yin-Yang Pond Urn Valley, Five Dynasties Corrugated Stones, Sky Collapse and Earth Split, Psychic Alley Valley, Magpies Welcoming Guests, and Silver Chains Hanging from the Sky". Amazing and unforgettable. Red rock cliffs, waterfalls and secluded pools, narrow ravines and deep valleys, and strange rocks and green shades form a rare landscape gallery in the world.
