Zhang Boju
Zhang Boju (1898.03.14 ~ 1982.02.26), named Jiaqi, nicknamed Congbi, also known as the Spring Outing Master and Mr. Haohao, was born in Xiangcheng, Henan Province. He was the son of Zhang Jinfang, who came from a family of officials, and was adopted by his uncle Zhang Zhenfang.
Zhang Boju has been obsessed with ancient cultural relics all his life and devoted himself to collecting famous calligraphy and painting. He started collecting ancient Chinese calligraphy and painting at the age of 30. At first, it was just a hobby. He once bought the oldest ink in China - "Ping Fu Tie" by Lu Ji of the Western Jin Dynasty. ", Sui Zhanziqian's "Spring Outing" by Sui Zhanziqian, the oldest surviving painting, "Up to the Balcony" by the great poet Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty, etc. His collection of the top Chinese calligraphy and painting masterpieces of all dynasties can be found in his book "Cong Bi Painting and Calligraphy Records". There are 118 pieces in total, which is known as "the best collection in the world".
Zhang Xueliang
Everyone is familiar with Marshal Zhang Xueliang. He is the son of the Northeast King Zhang Zuolin, nicknamed Hanqing and nicknamed Xiaoliuzi. Aixinjueluo·PuDong (August 1877-June 1952), courtesy name Houzhai (one name is Houzhai), nickname West Park. A famous Peking Opera fan (fancier), also known as Hongdou Pavilion Master, one of the "Four Young Masters of the Republic of China". Pu Dong read classics and history step by step in his study room since he was a child, learned to compose poems and essays, studied piano, chess, calligraphy, and painting, collected epigraphs, stones, and inscriptions, was good at sealing, and loved drama. For the arts of Kunming and Beijing, he is good at Sheng, Dan, Jing, Mo and Chou, and he is familiar with all kinds of drama and music such as flute, erhu, xianzi, pipa, etc. Respected as the "Five Masters of Dong" by the world, Pu Dong was proficient in classical literature and appreciation of cultural relics, and was proficient in the music and rhythm of poetry.
Yuan Kewen
Everyone must be familiar with Yuan Kewen. He is the second son of Yuan Shikai, nicknamed Baocen, and nicknamed Hanyun. He was born in Xiangcheng, Henan and a famous Kun Opera master. He is familiar with the Four Books and Five Classics, is proficient in calligraphy and painting, loves poetry and songs, and also likes to collect calligraphy, painting, antiques, etc.
Later, because he opposed Yuan Shikai's proclaimed emperor, he lived a bohemian life and had many wives and concubines, which angered his father. He fled to Shanghai, joined the Youth Gang, and opened incense halls in Shanghai, Tianjin and other places to recruit disciples. He died of illness in Tianjin in 1931. Buried in Yangcun. It is said that thousands of prostitutes showed up at his funeral to see him off.
