Explanation of the title In the thirteenth year of Kaiyuan (725), Li Bai went east from Bashu. In the fifteenth year, he married the granddaughter of his late prime minister Xu Yushi in Anlu, Hubei. Xiangyang is not far from Anlu, and this poem may have been written during this period. It is a nostalgic work by Li Bai, and it is also a drunken song. The poem looks at the surrounding world with the mentality and perspective of a drunkard. In fact, it looks at everything and thinks about everything with a more poetic perspective.
Original text The setting sun is about to disappear in the west of Xian Mountain, and the flowers are falling in reverse. Children in Xiangyang clapped their hands together and blocked the street to sing the song "Baitongtan". People nearby asked him what he was laughing at, but he laughed and killed the monkey, who was as drunk as mud. There are 5 cups in the cockroach and 6 cups in the parrot cup. One hundred years and thirty-six thousand days, three hundred cups must be poured out in one day. Looking from a distance, the green duck head of Hanshui looks like the first sour fermented grains of grapes. If this river turns into spring wine, the hills and terraces will be built. A thousand-gold horse is exchanged for ten concubines, sitting on a carved saddle with a smile and singing about falling plum blossoms. A jug of wine hangs next to the car, and the phoenix, sheng, and dragon pipes remind each other. The yellow dog in Xianyang City is like a golden leopard leaning under the moon. Don't you see that the Yang Gong of the Jin Dynasty is a piece of stone, with peeling berry moss. I can't fall for it, and my heart can't mourn for it. The clear breeze and bright moon don't cost a cent, but Yushan falls by itself and is not recommended by others. Shuzhou ladles, strong men clang, Li Bai and you live and die together. The clouds and rain of King Xiang are here now, and the rivers flow eastward and the apes sound at night.

These two sentences mean that if the water of Han Dynasty turns into wine, its wine will be piled up into a pile of dirt. Translation: I am like the mountain slips back then, drinking and having fun all day long, and got drunk like mud. Whenever the sun sets, he wears a turban, rides backwards, and walks home crookedly along the fence decorated with wild flowers. At this time, he is often stopped by the children of Xiangyang and claps and sings, causing the whole street to burst into laughter. . A hundred years of life, a year and thirty-six thousand days, should be filled with three hundred glasses of wine every day. What a wonderful thing it is. When I was drunk, I looked around through my drunken eyes and saw the turquoise Hanshui River outside Xiangyang City in the distance. I thought it was like freshly brewed wine. Ah, if the Han River can be turned into spring wine, then the distiller's yeast used to make wine can be built into a hilly platform. I rode drunkenly on the carved saddle of a horse, singing the tune of "Plum Blossoms Falling", followed by a car with wine bottles hanging on it and a band playing music to encourage drinking. I was so complacent that I suddenly felt that my life of drunkenness could not be compared with that of the princes in history! Wasn't Qin Prime Minister Li Si beheaded in Chang'an City by Qin II? When he was about to be executed, he said to his son: "I want to If (you) lead the yellow dog again, go out of the east gate of Shangcai (Li Si's hometown) to chase cunning rabbits, how can you get it!" There is also Yang Hu of the Jin Dynasty, who guarded Xiangyang and often visited Xian Mountain. He once said to people: " It is said that there are many sages and sages like me and you who have come here to look far away, but they have all been lost and forgotten, which makes people sad." After Yang Hu's death, the people of Xiangyang set up a monument in Xian Mountain to commemorate him. People who see the monument often shed tears, so it is called "The Monument of Tears."
But what significance does this monument have today? Now the monument has peeled off, and no one sheds tears for it anymore! A person did not have a good death during his lifetime, and although someone built a monument for him after his death, it will inevitably gradually disappear. How can there be a moon? It's so happy and realistic to drink freely! You can enjoy the breeze and the bright moon without spending any money. After you are drunk, you can fall like a jade mountain into the wind and moon. How chic and comfortable it will be! Bring Shuzhou Ladle and Lux ??Dang, Come and have a drink with me and enjoy the joy of life and death after getting drunk. Even King Xiang of Chu, who met the goddess in Wushan, how can he compare with us? He has long since disappeared with the river flowing eastward, amidst the cries of apes.
