Yang Wanli (1 127— 1206), with a graceful character, was born in Nanxi, Jishui County, Jizhou (now Tangqi Village, Huangqiao Township, Jishui County, Jiangxi Province). An outstanding poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, as famous as Lu You, Fan Chengda and You Mao, was praised as the "Four Great Poets in the Southern Song Dynasty" by later generations.
Yang Wanli's poems are vivid in artistic conception, popular and fresh, fluent and natural, and full of life breath. His poetry creation has formed his own style according to the road of learning from others, facing reality and imitating nature, and has formed a new, strange, lively, fast, harmonious and sincere poetic style, such as "the lotus leaf in the sky is infinitely beautiful, and the lotus flower is different in color" ("Dawn from Jingci Temple to the Woods"), "There is no way to turn in the stream, with Yang Wanli's simplicity, and suddenly there are one or two plum blossoms. Most of his poems are about natural scenery, so his good friend once humorously joked with him that "mountains and rivers are afraid of seeing everywhere." "
His ci style is fresh, lively and natural, which is similar to poetry. Among them, two of his most famous poems, Zhao Jun's Complaints, especially the second one, which is just 40 words, describes "boats, flowers, incense, water, rain, sound, dreams, lotus, pearls, smoke, mercury and clear waves", etc., which is really fresh or ethereal. It can be said that Yang Wanli's introduction is vivid and full of images. He is the author of Zhai Chengji.
Yang Wanli's works are rich. According to legend, there are more than 20,000 poems, and there are more than 4,200 existing poems. He was one of the writers who wrote the most poems in ancient China.
Yang Wanli was born in Shaoxing in the 24th year of Emperor Gaozong (1 154). He used to be Doctor Taichang, Guangdong Prefect Supervisor, Shangshu Zuo Si Langzhong, Prince's aide and secretary supervisor. Advocate resistance to gold, integrity and daring to speak. Ning Zongshi resigned at home because of the dictatorship of traitors, and eventually died of anger.
Yang Wanli is a passionate patriot and a sober politician. He once bluntly criticized the corruption of the imperial court and put forward a set of policies and strategies for rejuvenating the country. Throughout his life, he advocated the war of resistance and always opposed kneeling for peace. He was upright in the court, dared to speak out when something happened, pointed out the disadvantages of the times, and was reckless, so he was never of great use. In his later years, Yang Wanli had different political views from Prime Minister Han Yi. He lived in Jishui for fifteen years and finally died of grief at the age of eighty. He was given to Dr. Guanglu after his death.
