Contemporary poet. 1925 was born in Rugao, Jiangsu. Formerly known as Li Tao and Li Yi. , later renamed Li Tao, pen name Monroe, etc. In the 1940s, when I was studying at school, I began to learn to write poems and published them in newspapers at that time. Later, I stopped writing because I attended an engineering university and participated in the revolution. In the mid-1950s, he was transferred to a factory and began to write again. 1956 published "Towards Life", a collection of poems reflecting the life of textile workers, under the pseudonym of Monroe. 1949 joined the work at the beginning, engaged in news, industry, propaganda, literature and art work (successively served as editor of local newspaper, editor of China National Radio and technician of textile mill), 1958 served as editor of budding poetry magazine, 1962 was transferred to Nantong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, 1980.
