Xu Zaisi's Sanqu mainly focuses on leisure life, love, romance, writing about natural scenery in the south of the Yangtze River and seclusion. And there are also some works that focus on giving answers and chanting. Although as famous as Guan Yunshi, his style is different. Guan Yunshi is mainly generous and elegant, while Xu Zaisi is good at beauty and cleverness. Good at learning folk songs, good at painting techniques, profound and meticulous lyricism, neat antithesis, fresh and beautiful style. Taihe Andrew commented on Autumn Moon in Guilin and other works.
His love works are good at learning the expression of folk songs, similar to Guan Yunshi's. [Yuequ] In Chun Qing, the modality of a lovesick woman is "her body is like a floating cloud, her heart is like flying catkins, and her spirit is so weak that a wisp of fragrance is here". By using the formal characteristics of continuous sentences and the reuse of rhymes in Sanqu, she can express her feelings perfectly.
Chun Qing also describes a woman's complicated psychology when she suddenly meets her lover. She wanted to say hello, but she was afraid of being seen. Her modality is vivid and her characters are clever. This part of the work is fresh and lively, with high achievements.
