The Translation of Qu Yuan's Involved in the River

Translation:

I have loved this amazing costume since I was a child, but this hobby has not diminished in my old age. There is a long sword hanging around his waist and a tall cloud-cutting hat on his head. Wearing pearls and jewels. The world is overcast and no one knows, but I strut and turn a blind eye. I'm going to wander in wonderland with Zhong Hua.

Climb Kunlun Mountain and eat jade elites. I want to be with heaven and earth, and I want to be as bright as the sun and the moon. Sadly, no one in Chu knows me. I will cross the Yangtze River and Hunan tomorrow morning. Landing in Ezhu, looking back at the capital, sighing the cold wind in autumn and winter. Let my horse walk slowly up the hill and let my car come to Fang Lin.

Take a boat up the Yuan River! The boatmen rowed together. The ship refused to move slowly and always stayed in the swirling current. Depart from a desert island in the morning and stay in Chenyang at night. As long as the heart is upright, what's the harm of being exiled to a far, far place?

When I entered Xupu, I hesitated again and didn't know where to go. The Woods are deep and dark. This is where monkeys live. The mountains cover the sky. It's cloudy and raining below. Endless snowflakes are falling, and thick clouds seem to be pressing on the eaves. Alas, my life is not happy. I live alone in the mountains.

I can't change my ambition and obey the world. Of course, I will be unhappy and frustrated for life. Jie Yu cut off his hair. Sanghu left naked. Loyal ministers may not be appointed, and sages may not recommend them. Wu Zixu suffered a disaster. Beagan was chopped to pieces.

Compared with previous lives, that's it. Why should I blame people today? I don't hesitate to take the right path. Of course, I will be in darkness all my life. Ending: the phoenix bird is gone for a day; Swallows and blackbirds nest in halls and courtyards. Shen Lu and Xinyi died in a place with many plants and trees. The smelly ones are used, but the fragrant ones can't be close.

Day and night changed places, and I was born at a bad time. I am full of loyalty and frustration, so I have to travel far.

Creation background

Written in the period, this kind of opinion is represented by Wang Ji, who thinks that this article "leads the ancients to masturbate at the end, speaks harmoniously and concisely, without saying a word about the grievances of the slandered people, and was written at the beginning of being slandered, but not released first." Compared with Xi Yong, this is a temporary work.
