Byron was born into a noble family. He became a baron when he inherited the title at the age of ten. He was educated at Harrow College and Cambridge University. However, Byron sympathized with the working people and hated violence and politics since he was a child. When he first entered the upper house, he made a speech to defend the workers who destroyed the textile machine. 18 16 After he left England, he devoted himself to the national liberation movements in Italy and Greece. 1824, at the age of 36, he died in the military camp in Qiyi, Greece, and died in the battle to regain the former freedom and glory for this country.
Byron's works are mainly long poems, such as the famous Travels of Childe Harold (18 12). Harold, the hero, is a young aristocrat like Byron, who exudes special charm: chic, sensitive and melancholy. This long poem made Byron famous. He even said, "I woke up one night and found myself a celebrity." Then the satirical epic Don Juan (Don Juan,1818-1823)16000 lines (unfinished). This epic, which has thousands of scenes and touches readers layer by layer, has absorbed more European social reality. This masterpiece of world literature with huge space, broad content and magnificent structure fully shows Byron's poetic talent: on the one hand, it is 18 century hot-blooded young man Don Juan; On the other hand, Byron himself, a gossip figure in the19th century, interweaves two times, chats while chatting, and blends perfectly; Then there is the Italian ottava rima used throughout, which appeals to both refined and popular tastes, and integrates spoken English into poetry, which is playful and funny. This satirical poetic style called "Byronic Poetry Festival" was widely copied by later generations.
Byron's "Byronic Heroes" in his long poems are mysterious, arrogant, stubborn and rebellious, but they are also melancholy and lonely, and they are always incompatible with the traditional world. This romantic hero influenced countless writers later.
Many critics believe that Byron is the most influential poet in the second generation of romanticism, and his influence is literary and political. In literature, he has enough poetic skills and complexity to suit both refined and popular tastes; Politically, many flesh-and-blood young people, such as Pushkin and petofi, became brave revolutionaries with the encouragement of Byron's poems and human beings.
