As a master of writing, Han Yu also shows his own uniqueness in poetry creation, the most striking of which is his application of writing methods to poetry. The so-called method of writing articles refers to the conscious use of ancient Chinese when writing poems, including the method of direct narration, the tendency of discussion, the use of function words and so on. The first half of Han Yu's Seven Laws successfully embodies the above characteristics, so it was praised by Wu Kaisheng. The first couplet of this poem directly describes the reasons for his conviction and relegation. An exhortation book is "getting up in the morning" and "falling at night", and it is 8 thousand Li when it falls. Even with such a straightforward narrative, the unfairness of loyalty and belief is faintly revealed. Three or four sentences are more straightforward about right and wrong, not avoiding time. Although he was demoted, it was not his own fault, but "Ming Sheng" itself had "disadvantages"; I'm dying, as long as I know clearly, what's the pity of dying? The poet was full of loyalty and indignation, so Kan Kan talked and broke out. These two poems use two function words: "I want to do what I want to do" and "I am willing to do what I want to do". One is positive analysis, and the other is negative questioning. Cause and effect, setbacks, complement each other, such as flowing water. This time, Han Yu was exiled in the fourteenth year of Yuanhe (8 19). In the Table of Buddha's Bones, he violated the "master's anger" by urging Xian Zong to "welcome the Buddha's bone in" and almost died. After Pei Du and others interceded, he was saved from death, and was demoted to Chaozhou secretariat eight thousand miles away by assistant minister of punishments. The hardships of visiting, the frustration of official career, the loneliness of Soviet independence, the determination to defend morality and other complex emotions are entangled in the chest. When he arrived in Lantian County, not far from the capital, he met his nephew Han Xiang, who came with him, so he wrote this poem of generous lamentation and heroic tears. This poem is a close-up of rules and regulations, but because the author can do it in the form of an article, there is no danger of stagnation, and the poet's heavy depression has been vividly expressed, which has become a masterpiece for later generations.
Han Yu's practice of taking articles as poems has always been mixed. The relegated person said, "Retreating poetry rhymes, although it is vigorous, it is not a poem at all" (quoted from Cold Zhai Night Talk); There is even an assertion that "there is no solution to Han's poetry retreat" (Wang Shizhen's Yi Yan). People with a reputation say: "Poetry is nothing more than that, I say poets are not like retired people" (quoted from Cold Zhai Night Talk), and Mr. Chen Yinque's On Han Yu also said that Korean poetry is "not only unprecedented, but also unprecedented". When we put Korean poetry into such a specific literary environment as the middle Tang Dynasty, the innovative significance of taking literature as poetry is very noticeable. The romantic expression of traditional poetry has been developed in many ways by poets in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and the gentle and charming poetic style popular in the poetic world since Da Li shows that the development of poetry has shown signs of crisis. At this time, Han Yu introduced the method of article into poetry, which injected new vitality into the poetry circle, and played a positive role in enriching the artistic means of poetry creation, promoting the liberation of poetry language, expanding the theme of poetry, and correcting the floating poetic style of early Tang poetry. Due to the introduction of a large number of articles in the Song Dynasty, it was finally able to find a new way, forming another peak of poetry after the Tang Dynasty, just like the rival of the Tang Dynasty, and * * * had a great influence on the later poetry circles.
