Blowing the Horn to the Emperor is Wang Pan's Sanqu in Ming Dynasty. During the Zheng De period of the Ming Dynasty, eunuchs were in power and oppressed the people. They often blew trumpets to enhance their momentum. This Sanqu was written to satirize eunuchs. On the surface, this poem is written about horns and suona, but in fact it is written about eunuchs everywhere. "Qu Er" is a metaphor for eunuchs' low status, and "big cavity" is a metaphor for them bullying the weak and fearing the hard; "military worry" and "people fear" mean that wherever you go, it will bring disaster; "All water flies" describe their oppression and destruction of the people.
Although the whole song did not mention a eunuch positively, it vividly portrayed their ugliness, filled with contempt and indignation for eunuchs in a relaxed humor, and expressed the voice of the people.
