Two short poems about freedom

Freedom has always been pursued by people.

First of all:

to fly in freedom and power

This poem is selected from Leaves of Grass, a romantic poetry collection by American writer walt whitman in the19th century.

I, unwilling to compete with singing birds,

I am eager to fly high in the vast sky.

It was the eagle and the seagull that deeply touched my heart.

That canary and robin are by no means my ideal.

I, not used to singing softly with sweet vibrato,

I'm leaving,

The blue sky is full of freedom, joy, strength and will.

The author disdains to compete with birds, longs to be an eagle seagull, longs to fight the wind and waves in the sky and soar freely, and expresses his attitude towards life, which loves freedom and dares to forge ahead. In fact, each of us has a dream of flying freely. Chairman Mao once wrote in a poem: "The eagle strikes the sky, the fish jumps shallowly, and ten thousand kinds of frost fight for freedom."

Second:

Words like freedom

Langston hughes [America]

Some words are like freedom,

Speaking is sweet and comfortable.

Day and night, year after year,

Freedom touched my heart.

Some words are like freedom,

Almost made me scream.

If you know my experience,

You will understand how I feel.

Langston hughes (1902- 1967): American writer, mainly known for his poems, is known as "the poet laureate of black people".
