Feng Zikai, formerly known as Feng Run, is a modern painter, writer, essayist, art educator, music educator, cartoonist and translator in China. After his mother gave birth to him, his parents loved him very much and took the nickname "Ciyu". When he was in primary school in his hometown, there was an election in the countryside. The primary school teacher said that rural people have low education and it is difficult to write words with many strokes. For future consideration, the name should be written in words with few strokes. So the word "run" was changed to "ren". The teacher said that the pronunciation of "ren" in Zhejiang is similar to that of "run", and the meaning of "ren" is similar to that of "Yu Ji". Therefore, why did he enter Hangzhou Zhejiang First Normal School?

Zikai Feng
In the first normal school, because he was good at writing articles, he often won the first place in Chinese, which was highly valued by Chinese teachers. Step-by-step Ann thinks that besides the single name of "Feng Ren", there should be a double name, and "Ciyu" is another name, so another name should be given. So, Step One gave him a copy of Zi Zhuan. Later, it was changed to "Kai Zi" ("Kay" and "Zhuan" are the same and both are happy). From then on, it was named "Feng Zikai". Later, the name was used for writing and painting.
Feng Zikai signed his name with TK in his early paintings. That's the English spelling abbreviation of "Kai Zi". At that time, the child was pronounced "TSU".
Feng Zikai loved art since childhood. 19 14 was admitted to Zhejiang No.1 Normal University and studied painting and music under Li Shutong. Another teacher who had a great influence on him was Xia Mianzun. He called Li Shutong "father" and Xia Mianzun "mother". These two teachers, especially Li Shutong, had a great influence on his life. 19 18 autumn, Li Shutong became a monk in the Hupao Temple in Hangzhou, and Feng Zikai wrote "Remembering Mr. Li Shutong" in memory of his teacher. 19 17 Organize a children's painting party with classmates. 19 19 After graduating from normal school, she and several classmates founded Shanghai Normal College in Shanghai and served as drawing teachers. 192 1 year visited Japan for a short time to learn painting, music and foreign languages. 1922 returned to China to teach art and music in chunhui middle school, Shangyu, Zhejiang, and became friends with Zhu Ziqing and Zhu Guangqian. Engaged in art and music teaching after returning to China. Published "Selected Comics of Kai Zi" album. After 1952, he successively served as librarian of Shanghai Literature and History Museum, vice chairman of China Artists Association Shanghai Branch, executive director of China Artists Association, vice chairman of Shanghai Foreign Culture Association, vice chairman of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, member of CPPCC, president of Shanghai China Painting Academy, chairman of China Artists Association Shanghai Branch and vice chairman of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles. I am good at calligraphy and painting, as well as prose creation and literary translation.
Feng Zikai is a respected cartoonist and essayist in modern China. His paintings and articles have maintained a consistent style in the vicissitudes of decades: graceful and quiet, and his cartoons are even more popular. Mr. Feng's works are widely circulated, and many of them are scattered. Even more than 50 albums published in the album have mostly disappeared from the market, which brings great regret to readers. Among Mr. Feng Zikai's works, comics are probably the most famous. It is often a few strokes that outline an artistic conception, such as "after people leave, a crescent moon is like water", several tea cups and a louver cage, which are very emotional. Many of Mr. Feng's cartoons are about children, such as "A Bao Bare-chested", "Peel a melon for me and I'll fan it for you", "Meeting" and "My Son". Reading teacher Feng's children's cartoons made us so-called adults feel ashamed. When can our world be less fraudulent, more persistent, more natural and more indifferent?
As early as the 1920s, he published works such as Introduction to Art, Introduction to Music, Tour of Famous Western Paintings, Collection of Feng Zikai's Works and Collection of Feng Zikai's Prose. He published 180 books in his life.
Feng Zikai's prose also has a great influence in the history of China's new literature. His main works include Tang Essays, Ci Tang, Rewriting Tang, Telling the Spirit of Tang in Heaven, Twenty Essays, Sweet Memories, Interest in Art, Frank Collection, Nursing Students (nine parts) and so on. "White Goose" is incorporated into the text of the first and fourth grades of junior high school, "Bamboo Shadow" is incorporated into the text of the first grade of junior high school, and "Finger" is the fifth lesson of Unit 1 of the sixth grade of primary school. Except for some art reviews, most of these works describe his own personal life and daily contact with people.

1898165438+1October 9, Feng Zikai was born in Chongde County, Zhejiang Province. As the only boy of his peers, he was surrounded by tenderness since childhood, which made him always look at things with a gentle and compassionate heart. When it spread in his works, it became plain words and pure painting style.
19 14 was admitted to Zhejiang First Normal University. In this school, Feng Zikai met two teachers who had a great influence on his life-Li Shutong and Xia Mianzun. The former not only inspired him in music and art, but also set an example for him in life. The latter advocates using lively vernacular to express his true feelings truthfully, which has always been regarded as a standard by him and has become the most amiable and lovely feature in his later prose creation. In these two teachers who have deep friendship with him, Feng Zikai found three things to accompany him in his life-literature, painting and music.
19 18 years, Li Shutong became a monk, and Feng Zikai became attached to Buddhism.
19 19 after graduation, the "China Aesthetic Education Association" was organized and launched. Founded the magazine Aesthetic Education. Shanghai Normal University, the first art normal school in the history of education in China, was established, including art, music and handicrafts.

Calligraphy folding
Humanistic feelings of Feng Zikai's calligraphy
Ceng Yun, an ancient man, said, "How can you smell the partridges without going into the mountains?" To appreciate Mr. Feng Zikai's calligraphy, we should pay attention to the original, the original, the enlightenment and the enlightenment. If you make a hasty decision only from printed matter, you will inevitably miss a thousand miles. Judging from the writing style of Mr. Feng Zikai's calligraphy, he did not deliberately show grandeur, let alone deliberately set out to be sharp, bold, simple and even rude. Compared with those fake, big and empty calligraphy, he pays more attention to smallness, cleverness, precision, beauty and clumsiness, showing the true feelings and real interests in calligraphy creation, if he is as naive and natural as a child. The treatment of words such as "reputation, virtue and benevolence" in the works is both naive and lively, without losing the ancient method. He brought the classic calligraphy of the Six Dynasties and the epitaph calligraphy of the Northern Wei Dynasty to life. His brushwork is permeated with running script and cursive script, especially the natural expression of Cao Zhang's brushwork, which makes the brushwork with obvious tendency open, simple, simple and lively, full of musical rhythm, like a beating clockwork, which is amazing.
Mr. Feng Zikai is famous for his cartoons, but his concern and self-esteem for calligraphy are far above cartoons. He once said: "Calligraphy is the highest art ... One of the main principles of art is to accept it through feeling. The purest feelings are eyes and ears. Nothing is purer than calligraphy in the art of attracting eyes, and nothing is purer than music in the art of attracting ears. So calligraphy and music occupy the highest position in all arts. " Mr. Feng Zikai is a thoughtful artist. His calligraphy is a kind of thoughtful calligraphy. Its grandeur is contained in the distance, and its brilliant temperament is revealed in the modeling. His calligraphy originated in the Northern Wei Dynasty and also covered Cao Zhang. The formation of style is not only because of the influence of teachers, but also because of the perception of the real world. First of all, Mr Li Shutong has a great influence on his calligraphy. According to Mr. Feng Zikai's records in the article, during his school days, under the guidance of Mr. Li Shutong, he carefully copied the calligraphy of inscriptions such as Zhang Menglong Tablet, Longmen 20 Products and Wei Qi Statue. Secondly, when Mr. Feng Zikai was young, he was also very obedient to Ma Yifu's running script. According to records, once Mr. Feng Zikai came home by boat, and the canvas hanging on the bow had Mr. Ma Yifu's handwriting, which was very handsome and charming. He loved it very much, or he thought of taking off the Tibetan. Ma Yifu's calligraphy is a model of the combination of Weibei and Erwang's calligraphy, and the trend of Feng Zikai's later calligraphy is also closely related to it. Mr. Zhu Guangqian, a contemporary aesthetician of Mr. Feng Zikai, once said: "Calligraphy and painting have the same roots in China. Kai Zi spent a long time on calligraphy. He recently told me that he is studying Cao Zhang, and whenever he is stagnant in painting, he writes. After writing for a while, he left it to painting and found that painting was growing. Everyone who speaks calligraphy knows that brushwork must undergo some hard training to be calm and steady, pen and ink can be put into paper, and words can be vivid and solid when hung up. Moreover, as far as the overall layout and content of Mr. Feng Zikai's cartoons are concerned, without the cooperation of the Book of Painting and the wonderful sentences of painting, there would never be the achievements recognized by everyone today. After reading Mr. Feng Zikai's cartoons and inscriptions, we all admire his calligraphy style and the harmony and harmony of cartoons. We might as well compare his calligraphy and comics to a mother's twin brother.
Calligraphy, roughly divided, has two styles, one is "respecting quality" and the other is "worshiping beauty". The former pursues simple and natural beauty and is full of "clumsy" interest, while the latter pursues beautiful and charming beauty and is full of "easy" interest. Under the right army, Shang Yan is the mainstay. In Qing dynasty, stele study was advocated, and the wind of respecting quality quietly rose. In fact, quality and beauty, like a man and a beautiful woman, are different beauties. People who study should follow their own temperament and guide their own temperament to pursue. Mr. Feng Zikai's calligraphy conforms to his own temperament and relaxes his own temperament, so it tastes meaningful and has no affectation. "Quality" is not wild, fierce, rough and tough; Yan is not kitsch, frivolous, sweet with evil and delicate. Although the style of calligraphy is divided into quality and beauty, big strokes often have quality or beauty, not a single quality or beauty, just as "a real man may not have no tenderness." However, Mr. Feng Zikai's calligraphy is elegant, and Shu Wei is the quality, so he is calm; Take the beauty of the grass, so it is more interesting. Mr. Shen Ding 'an, president of Shaoxing Lanting Book Club, once wrote an article expressing his opinion: "Mr. Feng's calligraphy, like his cartoons and words, is unique and creative. Try to combine Mr. Feng's words with others' words so that readers can recognize Mr. Feng's true colors without going into details. " Mr. Shen Ding 'an clarified the characteristics and status of Mr. Feng Zikai's calligraphy in Shen Feng.
Later generations commented on this paragraph of folding editing
Feng Zikai, whose real name is Feng Run, was born in Shimen Bay, Chongde, Zhejiang. Born in the 24th year of Guangxu (1898), she has six sisters, all of whom are highly valued. Her baby's name is Ciyu, and she often showed sympathy to others when she was a child. The emperor's father is a juren, and it is useless to abolish the imperial examination. You can copy portraits when you are young. When the teacher saw it, he thought it was painted by himself, so he ordered a portrait of Confucius to be painted. There's nothing urgent, but it's finally made of Jiugong glass lattice. My classmates and neighbors came to draw, and the nine squares were not enough, so I learned to draw. I heard that. A little longer, he entered high school and changed his name to Feng Ren in response to democratic elections. Later, he was admitted to the First Normal University of this province, where he studied music and painting from Li Shu and Chinese from Xia Mianzun.
After graduation, he, Liu Zhiping, Wu Mengfei, Liu Haisu and Jiang Danshu founded the China Aesthetic Education Association and the magazine Aesthetic Education.
He also founded the Shanghai Art Institute to teach western art on an equal footing with quality.
In the tenth year of the Republic of China (192 1), I sold my ancestral home, went to Tokyo to study fine arts, and came across Takehisa's works. I love his simplicity and cleanliness, and I try to wake up the world, so I take this as an example. 10, returned to Zhejiang and taught in chunhui middle school, Shangyu. Zhu Ziqing, Zhu Guangqian, Kuang Mutual Health and Liu Xunyu are different. Taste painting "A crescent moon is like water", when Zheng Zhenduo presided over Literature Weekly, it was different. I made an appointment and loved her tenderness, thinking that she was not as good as Ye Shengtao. After a long collection of manuscripts, Zhenduo named it Zikai Comics, and the word Comics came into being.
In the 15th year (1926), Ye Shengtao founded Ming Kai Bookstore.
The following year, Master Hongyi traveled to Shanghai, lived in Zikai, and wrote a poem for his cartoon, named "Painting for Protecting Students", which means to stop killing and love life. First of all, Zikai asked for a name for his apartment, and Hony said he could draw lots with words. Every time you get the word "Yuan Yuan" twice, it is called "Yuan Yuan soup". In September of the same year, he converted from Hongyi to Buddhism and became a layman, named Ying Xing. However, you are comfortable and don't give up alcohol and meat.
In the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933), the Yuanyuan Hall was built in Shimen Bay, which was firm, frank, profound and simple, and was always pursued by Zhengzikai. Masters Hongyi and Ma Yifu wrote inscriptions and collected more than 20,000 books, which were full of animal fragrance, childlike interest and sincere lack of pleasure. Therefore, the collected works handed down have many titles.
Twenty-two years (1935). The preface to the publication of the painting collection "The World on Earth" reads: "My paintings are neither decoration nor praise, nor entertainment; And everyone is not harmonious, unhappy and unlovable. " This so-called troubled times. And turn it into a carved stamp, saying, "A rapidly decaying work." There are also three music works, five essays and eight art works, all written under Tang Er.
A few days later, in order to escape the war, I traveled to Tonglu, Quzhou, Shangrao, Nanchang, Pingxiang, Xiangtan, Changsha, Guilin, Yishan, Zunyi and Chongqing. In Pingxiang, Tang Yuan, Wen Yuan, was bombed, and people's anger could not be eliminated. It was written "Send me back to Tang Yuan". He also made an anti-Japanese cartoon, called "The History of Japanese Comics Invading China", which was not published in order to avoid the heavy and neglect the heavy and sink into the bottom of the river.
Thirty-one years (1942), he settled in Chongqing, lived in Shaping hut on the outskirts of the city, sold calligraphy and painting for a living, planted melons and beans, raised geese and pigeons, and drank Chongqing wine. From time to time, celebrities come to visit, words are pouring in, and wine is increasing. That year, Master Wen passed away, feeling lost. Then he said, "The realm of life can be divided into three levels. When it comes to material life, so do most of them. The second is spiritual life, that is, the flow of scholars, not a few. Third, soul life, that is, religion, is very rare. Master Hongyi calmly finished reading this three-tier platform. Filial piety to mother, love to wife, profound art, learning Buddhism. So is the most perfect person. The highest state of an artist is to be close to religion. The blending of artistic scenes and scenes is not the same as the blending of religions. Therefore, the so-called metrical poems and landscape paintings are by no means small tricks, because they have religious spirit. My feet are too weak to go upstairs with the mage, but I'm just a small skill, but I can climb the railing and have a peek. I am deeply ashamed of myself. " He went to Leshan to visit Ma Yifu and made a biography of Hongyi.
In the thirty-fifth year of the Republic of China (1946), I took my family back to Shimen Bay to find the Fate Hall, which has become fly ash. I drank a thousand cups and left. Living in Hangzhou.
After thirty-eight years (1949), he lived in Shaanxi Road and served as the director of China Artists Association. The beautiful room is called Riyuelou, and I have devoted myself to translation, including Hunter's Notes in Russian and Tale of Genji in Japanese. The person who translated The Tale of Genji was the first person in China to translate this book. During the Cultural Revolution, it was defined as "reactionary academic authority". First of all, I wrote a children's book entitled "It is difficult to teach me to sing". There is a sentence in it: "There is a green watermelon in the east", which is intended to correct mistakes. As evidence of the crime, the rebels used 100,000 people to criticize it, which was humiliating. After returning home, I drink more and more every day, but I like Bai Letian's sentence "There is nothing in the world but wine and longevity". Not long after, I heard that Lao She threw herself into the lake and said casually, "If she dies, she will die." Hearing that Ma Yifu was killed, he said, "Why not die a year earlier?" Everyone is indifferent, and this is the true Buddha nature.
1970, he suffered from toxic pneumonia and had to stay at home for illness. It is difficult to distinguish between day and night, so there is always a saying that "a broom cherishes itself". Those who know more will ask, and then return to two books: as you sow, you reap, and the east wind is mighty. Those who seek words must return to Lu Xun's poems. He also translated the Mahayana Belief by Japanese Tang Rong and brought it to Singapore to be published by Master Jiao Guangqia, but he dared not sign it. The solemnity of the literary inquisition can be seen. In addition, there is a little prose, called "Continuing the Fate".
1972 was rehabilitated and everything was confiscated and returned. What I saw, what I thought and felt, I began to return to China. 1975, he returned to his hometown to participate in the competition. It was the early autumn of a year, and he died of lung cancer. He is 70 years old. I'm going to drink a catty of yellow rice wine and smoke a bar of Jude's. Painting for Nursing Students has six episodes handed down from generation to generation, and has also been widely discussed with Master and Fu.
1985, the villagers rebuilt Yuanyuantang, but it still exists today.
Biography of Feng Zikai
Feng Zikai, formerly known as Run, also known as Ren, Ren and Pine Nut, was later changed to "respecting virtue". Father Yuan, the word Xie Quan, was a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. Kai Zi was not very good at painting and calligraphy. He studied under Li Shutong and traveled to Xia Mianzun, and achieved success in both poetry and calligraphy. After studying in Tokyo for ten years, I tasted the Taoist Spring Volume by Takehisa Yumeji, and I liked its simplicity very much. I gave an example. Living in October, I was shy and returned to China to teach. However, the collection of school affairs is lacking, and the insight into human behavior is classified as a draft, and its painting begins. After Zheng Zhenduo's Literary Weekly, it is different to look at Kai Zi's works. The title of his painting collection is Zikai Comics, and comics began to exist. In sixteen years, Shi Shu traveled with him in Shanghai and wrote a poem "Painting for Nursing Students". He became a teacher in Russia and became a baby. But if you are comfortable, don't give up meat and wine.
A few days later, the Japanese invaders made a mess of China, moving around the provinces and living in the capital. And don's was blown up, and his anger could not be dispelled. That's "give me Tang back". Anti-Japanese with cartoons. When I brought it back as soon as possible, I found the Fate Hall, and there was nothing left. He lived in Hangzhou and later moved to Shanghai. He used to be a director of China Artists Association and devoted himself to translation. During the Cultural Revolution, the charges were unwarranted and were criticized. Twenty-six years after the founding of the People's Republic of China, I returned to my hometown to compete. That autumn, he died of illness at the age of 70. Zisanhua Station, Caoyuan City, Meixin.
Modern painter, writer and art educator. I studied painting and music with Li Shutong in my early years and was deeply influenced by his Buddhist thoughts. After the May 4th Movement, he began to create cartoons. Early comic works are mostly based on realistic themes, with "warmth and irony". Later, they often made ancient poems and new paintings, especially children's themes. His cartoon style is unpretentious, and the artistic conception is meaningful and implicit, which is a bridge between literature and painting. When Feng Zikai was born, his mother had given birth to six daughters. He was the eldest son of the family. Because my father has only one sister, he is the hope of Feng Jia fireworks and is cherished by people. His father named him "Ciyu". In the eyes of his family, he is really a treasure. His grandmother dotes on him, his parents and aunts love him, his sisters love him, and even the guys in the dye house like him. Feng Zikai was surrounded by warmth since he was a child, which later accompanied him all his life and soaked his character, making him always look at things with a gentle and compassionate heart; Divergent in his pen, it has become a plain style of writing and a pure style of benevolence and righteousness.
The scenes of falling in love with Britain all contain human feelings. ...

Fengzikai memorial hall
Feng Zikai Memorial Hall is located in Shimen Town, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province. It is the only full-time comic gallery in China, which not only displays Feng Zikai's own works and life introduction, but also has a famous comic room. Each exhibition hall is rich in content and has its own characteristics, and visitors are in an endless stream. The former residence "Yuanyuantang" was built in the spring of 1933, and was designed by Mr. Feng Zikai himself with his own manuscript fee. With Chinese style structure, it is upright, concise and bright, tall and spacious, with three bedrooms and two floors, which has the deep and quaint beauty of Jiangnan folk houses. But in June 1938, it was destroyed by Japanese artillery fire. Later, with the initiative and donation of Master Guangqia, Chairman of the Buddhist Association of Singapore, Feng Zikai's former residence was rebuilt as it was in September 1985 and officially opened to the public.

Anecdotes about releasing animals
Mr. Feng Zikai is a famous cartoonist in China. He has been dead for many years, leaving a rich artistic legacy to future generations. Feng Zikai's cartoon style is unique. He has a deep foundation in Chinese painting, and a few strokes can outline a vivid image. In particular, most of his materials are suffering in the world, and everyone is wronged by hard work, so his cartoons are deeply loved by people.
It is true that human nature means that Feng Zikai has a bodhisattva heart. Feng Zikai is a devout Buddhist, and he is a devout layman. All his life, he earnestly warned people to protect life and abstain from killing. He also made an anecdote because he was released.
Before War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, during his stay in Suzhou Garden Hall, Mr. Feng Zikai once took a chicken from Shimen Bay and wanted to set it free in Yun Qi, Hangzhou. But he also showed compassion for the chicken. He couldn't bear to tie it up and hang it upside down like ordinary people, so he lifted his robe and put it inside and held it outside with his hands. Take a boat from Shimen Bay via Chongde and take a train to Chang 'an Town. Because he wrapped his hand in a cloth robe, this strange appearance was suspicious in the past, which aroused the suspicion of a plainclothes detective at Chang 'an Town Railway Station, and he followed him all the time. When he arrived in Hangzhou in the same car, plainclothes detectives caught him as soon as he left the station. Feng Zikai happened to be met outside the station, so he told the other party why he followed the wrong person. Feng Zikai held the hen to be released, which caused everyone present to laugh.
Why does Feng Zikai believe in Buddhism? He was influenced not only by Master Hongyi, but also by his father. His father Feng won a scholarship in the middle of 1920, but for some reason, he didn't go to Beijing to catch the final imperial examination. Seeing that the Qing Dynasty was in turmoil and had no hope of career, I had to set up a school at home to serve as an apprentice and make a living. Feng Huquan is affable and enthusiastic. Whenever there is a wedding or funeral, neighbors and relatives ask him to write a joint ownership book. He also writes letters or contracts for bookmarks, and never cares about the cost.
Feng once wrote a letter to the fisherman, knowing that the fisherman was poor and didn't accept payment. One day, the fisherman sent seven large and small water fish, all turtles. Fenghuquan has always believed in Buddhism and is good at charity. That night, he dreamed that seven women in skirts knelt down to him for help, shouting "Master help, Master help". Feng suddenly woke up and felt that his dream was strange and he couldn't understand it. He is not ashamed of his decent behavior on weekdays, but his dreams make him fidget all day.
