From the Songs of the South, it means: Confucius left his hometown, wandered around, lobbied and preached in other countries, and lived in fear like a lost dog every day, endlessly.

Confucius was a thinker and educator in the late Spring and Autumn Period of China and the founder of Confucianism. He initiated the atmosphere of private lectures and advocated benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith. In the fourteenth year of Lu (496 BC), Confucius led his disciples to leave Lu and began to travel around the world. This passage records what happened when Confucius traveled around the world.

The Songs of Chu was edited by Liu Xiangnai and written by Wang Yi in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Qu Yuan and Song Yu, Chu people in the Warring States Period, and The Original Sixteen Episodes written by Xiaoshan, Dong Fangshuo, Wang Bo and Liu Xiang in Huainan in the Han Dynasty had a far-reaching influence on later poetry.

This article is taken from Songs of the South. Songs of the South experienced the creation of Qu Yuan's works, the imitation after the song, the collection in the early Han Dynasty and the collection by Liu Xiang. This book should have been written between 26 BC and 6 BC. Liu Xiang's original book "Songs of the South" died early, and later generations can only trace back and speculate its original appearance indirectly through Wang Yi's "Songs of the South" in the Eastern Han Dynasty (the original book has also been lost) and Song Hongxingzu's "Supplementary Notes on Songs of the South", which is considered to be the most complete.

Songs of the South is of extraordinary significance to the whole cultural system of China, especially to literature. It created the poetic style of China's romantic literature, so later generations called this style "Chu Ci" and "Sao". Poetry, novel, prose and drama all exist to varying degrees.
