1950 On May 4th, China Literature and Art Association was established in Zhongshan Hall, with Mr. Chen Jiying as the initiator. China Literature and Art Association, referred to as "Literary Association" for short, is the largest literary and art association with a long history and about 2,000 members, all of whom are successful people in the literary and art circles. The Council is chaired by the chairman and the secretary-general, and consists of 17 committees, namely: poetry creation research, prose creation research, novel creation research, music, fine arts, drama, film, radio and television, drama, photography, dance, folk custom, literary criticism, news and literature, international literary exchange, cross-strait literary exchange, literary translation and conference development.

The current chairman is Wang Jilong (pen name Lu Di, poet and chairman of the New Poetry Society). Invited to attend the fifth, sixth and seventh sessions of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The supervisors are all well-known writers and artists, including Chen Yizhi, Liao, Yu, Yang, Xiang Ming, Nan, Feng Deping, Xiang Yang, Sima Zhongyuan, Zhou Yushan, Lai Xiufeng, Zhou Zhigang, Chen Zuyan and Lin Xijia.

On May 4th every year, "Federation of Literary and Art Circles" holds a literary festival celebration meeting, awarding literary medals and honorary literary medals, which has been held for 52 times. Among them, literary medals are awarded to rookie or outstanding literary figures; The Medal of Honor is awarded to an artist who has made a senior and outstanding contribution. "Literary Federation" often holds various artistic and cultural activities, such as Spring Festival group worship, lantern riddles, spring and autumn tea parties, new book launches, concerts, poetry readings, writers' afternoon tea, various literary seminars, literary writing research classes, and various exhibitions, including photography and art exhibitions. In addition, for more than 20 years, he has been committed to cross-strait literary and artistic exchanges. Invited by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Writers Association, he sends delegations to mainland provinces for literary and artistic exchanges every year, and regularly invites writers' associations and literary and art delegations to Taiwan. Excellent writers and artists are also invited to overseas areas for artistic and cultural exchanges, and artists and writers from all over the world are invited to visit Taiwan for performances, such as the World Poets' Congress and the Cross-Strait Art Exchange Exhibition. A quarterly magazine, Literati, is published for members to write and make friends.

The Association has established an art and cultural center, an art salon and a new indigenous art gallery to provide parties and various artistic performances and exhibitions for literary friends.
