How to write a good column?

Oh? How to practice "writing"? Writing, as a martial art, has many schools.

Three methods of writing ability: sense of value, sense of structure and sense of object.

I divide columns into three categories: WHAT (what), WHY (why) and HOW (how).

The easiest thing is to write a column about what and explain the concept: "What is sunk cost"; It is much more difficult to write why. Contact motivation: Why should I understand sunk cost? How to list is the most difficult thing to write. Practical application: how to use sunk cost and benefit from it?

Why is it more valuable than anything; How is more valuable than why. Before writing, you should think clearly whether you want your readers to leave with anything, why or how. Do you really have to work hard several times to provide the most difficult value?

A person who does not restrain his desire to express himself cannot write a good column. Why? Because the core of writing is to pay attention to what the other person thinks, not how you write. Excellent articles are a feast for readers, rather than expressing the satisfaction of desire. A good writer is willing to suppress his "hearty expression" and cut the text with a scalpel of "structural sense" so that the other party can "clearly understand".

The first step is to import the scene. I can hardly start with Liu Bei and Obama, because I am too far away from you. I will start like this: I have been working harder and harder recently and want to retire, but my children are studying in international schools, and the tuition is very high; Your clothes are already very cheap, but the customer means you won't buy them. What happened recently to you is the most likely to have a sense of substitution, which is "scene import" Please give me 30 seconds and read on.

The second step is to break the cognition. What should I do in this case? Do you want to do this? Wrong; How's it going? It's not right either. None of them are right, none of them are right. This is "breaking cognition", which makes readers have a strong curiosity: Oh? So what is right? You may generously give me another two minutes: Xiao Liu, tell me.

The third step is the core logic. Finally, we have to talk about the core logic, but we can't just be reasonable. Readers don't like it. Need to use a very convincing big case to bring out the logic. I will begin to tell the story of the Allies and Germans in World War II, and finally extract: this is the "survivor prejudice". These two minutes must be entertaining and serve the readers, which will make you feel happy: it's amazing, that's right. I'll give you two more minutes, and you go on.

The fourth step is to draw inferences from others. Unconsciously, we have accomplished why and what. Here is the most difficult but useful one. How can we avoid survivor prejudice? One two three; How should I use survivor prejudice? One, two, three. Readers, you can leave with great value at this time ... but it's not over yet.

The fifth step is to review and summarize. You've been listening for five minutes. It's too difficult. I'll take another 30 seconds to help you review and summarize the main points. Please allow me. Then, I try to make all the key points clear in one or two sentences, re-strengthen the concept, refine the golden sentence, and help you put the concept in the most suitable place in your brain.

It is not enough to just make a wall clock. Putting the structure of the wall clock in the pocket watch is the respect for readers.

Compared with speeches, writing loses its sense of presence. In order to restore the sense of scene and convey emotion, the screenwriter has an important mentality: the sense of object. You imagine that you are not facing the computer, but talking face to face with every specific "you".

Have you paid attention to what we said? For example, "Have you ever encountered such a problem", "I want to ask you" and "You and your subordinate Li Lei". Yes, I will refrain from using the word "everyone", but try to use "you" to create a sense of object.

In addition to using "you", words need to be colloquial. For example, "well, let's call it a day." This "good" is a colloquial expression. It will make you feel that I am talking to you, not to the mirror.

This is the sense of object. Imagine an actor, facing the camera but imagining himself facing the audience. A truth.

Talking about writing today is not to become a master of literature, but to convey information accurately and gain the greatest acceptance. But even as a tool for business communication, there are still 84 thousand ways to write it. I will share with you three ways: sense of value, sense of structure and sense of object. A good writer knocks himself to death with a sense of value, cuts words with a sense of structure and serves readers with a sense of object.
