In 753 AD, Wang Changling was demoted as a captain of Longbiao County. Li Bai was in Yangzhou at that time. I heard that my friend was demoted, so I wrote this poem, expressing my sympathy for Wang Changling's talent and pinning my thoughts on Wang Changling.
"I heard that Wang Changling left and moved to Longbiaoyao to send this."
Tang Dynasty: Li Bai
After the easy autumn, cuckoo clock, I heard you pass five streams.
I entrust my sad thoughts to the moon, hoping to accompany you to the west of Yelang.
Wang Changling's left shift and dragon tail (the ancients were right, so it was called "left shift") were recorded in the Book of the New Tang Dynasty. In other words, he was demoted because of his crimes, not because he had any big problems, but only because he lacked discipline in his life. Wang Changling once said in another poem that "there is a piece of ice in the jade pot" to show his innocence. In other words, the most likely reason for Wang Changling's demotion is that he has offended powerful people, not that he has his own problems. Li Bai naturally knows his best friend. After learning that he was framed and demoted, he wrote this poem full of sympathy and care for him, which is in line with Li Bai's life style.
"Huayang has landed, and Wendaolong has passed the five streams." Sub-rules: cuckoo, also known as cuckoo, is said to moan and even weep for blood. This sentence clearly shows that this season is the time when Huayang falls into mourning. I heard that your friend will pass by Wuxi to go to his post. What is used here are misty flowers and sad rules, and they are not angry at the innocent demotion of their friends, which is in line with the situation at that time.
"I am worried about the bright moon, and I will go to Yelangxi with the wind." I put my thoughts and thoughts on the bright moon in the sky, hoping that it can accompany you instead of me until the westernmost end of Yelang. In fact, the artistic conception expressed in these two poems can also be seen from the poems of former people. For example, Cao Zhi's Miscellaneous Poems: "I want to see my gentleman as the scenery of Nanxi." Zhang Chunjiang Moonlight: "I don't know each other at this time, and I hope the moon will shine on you." Both of them have similar meanings to this sentence of Li Bai, but a careful analysis reveals that this sentence of Li Bai has three meanings. First of all, I miss my good friend Wang Changling, but there is no one to talk to, so I can only talk to the bright moon about my thoughts. The second reason is that no matter how far apart they are, they can see the same bright moon. Third, since only the bright moon is the same, we can only convey our thoughts of our friends through it, and there is no other way.
Li Bai deserves to be a poet. Through his rich imagination, he endowed the abstract "sad heart" with concrete attributes and let it follow the bright moon to Yelangxi. The bright moon, which was originally ignorant and heartless, has also become a bosom friend who can understand the poet's mind. It can help him bring his nostalgia and sympathy to his unfortunate friends.
This kind of giving one's feelings to objective things and humanizing them is the advantage of the formation of image thinking. When ancient poets need to express some strong feelings, they usually use this method to obtain the expected effect.
