"Country" and "city" are binary opposites, and there seems to be no obvious boundary here in the poet Wang Fa. Of course, this boundary is not the boundary division in the traditional language definition, but the engine of the poet's text series. Between "country" and "city", the poet found his own creative thinking. The poems of "city" and "country" entered the poet's language world like twins, and created a unique "fable country" together with the poet. When we mention the two core images of "city" and "country", we will inevitably think of the poet's realistic writing. The characteristics of Wang Fa's poems involving reality are extremely obvious, which may have a lot to do with his rich life experience.
First, the infinite pain in the story of "country"
In one of the series My Village:
"People are leaving.
I hear your sigh.
In the fields of the village
The leaves are full of sadness.
There is no rain in July.
The river is as thin as silk.
Fish have nowhere to lay eggs.
The cattle waded away.
My village has withered.
Like a mass of black mud.
My family is sitting in Tanobe.
Their eyes hurt. "
Let's take three paragraphs to see how the poet criticizes the countryside in reality. The sentence "Leaves are full of sadness" describes the original state of the village in the realistic context, which has been shattered by the times. The tired body makes the creatures living here unable to breathe, and even the original vibrant leaves are in sorrow. Aren't you sad? "The fish had nowhere to lay their eggs, and the cattle waded away." At that time, or that village, the river was about to dry up, and fish and cattle were struggling to survive in the shallow river. The disappearance of rivers is closely related to the disappearance of villages. Then the poet wrote: "My village withered ... their eyes were full of pain." The village has withered. Under the background of modernization, young people gradually leave their hometown, and almost all the people living in the village are old, weak and sick. The originally active village became lifeless. Whose fault is this? The poet made his own cry: Return my village. There is a great contrast between the village in the real world and the village in the poet's imagination, which causes the poet to reflect. The pure, natural and clear countryside in the poet's mind has disappeared without a trace under the erosion of industrial civilization vampires. Doesn't it make people feel "painful"
In the fifth episode of My Village, there are some memorable words: "The dumb horse in Tunli picked up a beautiful daughter-in-law/made the brothers greedy/swallowed saliva for a long time ... The little daughter-in-law had no choice but to grab the hemp rope hung by the dumb horse and went to Houdianzi". This section describes a realistic rural society in the simplest language. This kind of scene is not limited to the northeast, I believe. The poet pays attention to the survival and development of the little people at the bottom of society and reveals them. A mute in the countryside picked up a beautiful daughter-in-law, but was remembered by all kinds of people. Finally, he forced the mute to death and drove away the kannika nimtragol. Kannika nimtragol was desperate in the face of the reality of this society, so she chose to give up life. Lev tolstoy said: "Most happy people are similar, and unfortunate people are unhappy in their own way." Perhaps it is appropriate to use kannika nimtragol to describe it. Her death has evolved into another kind of death. This new death is a kind of depravity, a stereotype that has not escaped fate, and returns to the original point where she wants to escape. The third section and the fourth section of the poem just echo each other, which illustrates the fate of the beautiful daughter-in-law, and just forms a similar contrast, in which some fables are buried. The reality of rural society is very clear in the despicable behavior of the village party secretary. His possessiveness, power propaganda and overbearing characteristics are vividly and appropriately portrayed, and you can hit the nail on the head without too many adjectives. The fate of a beautiful daughter-in-law represents the fate of women in a certain era, the fate of backward rural women, and the attribution of human nature. The village party secretary also represents the image of countless village party secretaries. Their position in the countryside is beyond reproach and unshakable, so what will happen under the background of power is self-evident. Can you not feel "pain" about what happened to your beautiful daughter-in-law, and about the fornication, bullying and shamelessness of the secretary of the rural branch? Of course, we can't rule out other possibilities, or this beautiful daughter-in-law is a fool, a widow, a refugee woman, or a miserable family. We don't make assumptions about all the possibilities, because I believe this is not the author's way of expressing himself in another way.
Second, social pain hidden in reality.
Sharp contrast is the usual method of poets, reflecting human nature and social conditions through examples of social reality. In his work "Two Meteors with Blue Tails", he wrote: "A meteor fell from the sky/you said another person left/never saw the old scavenger again/another meteor fell at night/the next day the newspaper said that a local rich man died/you said that both meteors were dragging their blue tails". The whole poem consists of six lines, explaining the death of two people with different life and social backgrounds. The impact of death is different, but the outcome is the same. They are all meteors dragging their blue tails across the sky. No matter how rich or poor a person is, the outcome after death is the same. The poet is examining the reality of the gap between the rich and the poor in society and society, so as to find a suitable starting point for the gap between the rich and the poor. It is not so much sympathy for the death of the old scavenger as a mockery of the death of the local rich. As for whether their deaths are normal or not, if we don't comment, the impact will naturally be different, but the outcome will definitely be the same. The city can give the old scavengers hunger and cold, and luxury to the rich. The sharp contrast between the two will also determine the image in the reader's mind. In a short poem, the poet's compassion for others and his heart of saving the world are faintly presented. Standing in the corner of the city to see the world, whether poor or rich, as an outsider, is always a passer-by, rushing by like a meteor. What makes us sad is the intersection of the gap between the rich and the poor and fate in social reality, and it also gives me a kind of ruthless mourning for the past.
Another song, good morning. 7.30: "The boy with crutches is pale and emaciated/He appears here on time at this time every day/The trash can beside him is empty today/His eyes are fixed on the supermarket across the street/His right leg is swaying in the confused snow and fog/Now, it's time for the supermarket owner to take out the garbage." There are two characters in the poem, one is a boy on crutches, and the other is a boy on crutches. The little boy is down and out, lonely, poor and hungry, and the wealth of the supermarket owner is secretly presented in this short poem. The supermarket owner shouldn't have much contact with the little boy with crutches, but because of some special circumstances, they have an intersection. What are the contributing factors, which can give us room and space for thinking. This poet has a strong ability to capture social reality. He can turn details that ordinary people will ignore into concise words, vivid and painful. The fate of the little people has become the main theme here, highlighting the poet's way of integrating reality into his writing and writing the expectations and aspirations of the vagrants living at the bottom. What happened to the boy is a kind of pain, and it is also the cause of our pain. The boy's expectation seems to be silent, but it is better than countless times. In addition to seeing the boy's misery, we should also recognize the boy's strength to survive and his courage to stand on his own feet.
Thirdly, the "fog" of sadness in "city" and "country"
The most realistic pain is a theme that can never be separated from Wang Fa's poems. Whether writing poems about cities or describing villages, there is no word "pain". In this poem "The Sorrow of the City", the poet wrote: "The city is shrouded in fog/the cow bell rings from time to time/this sound/reminds me of an angry poet brother in this city/the fog has never dissipated/just like the sadness in my heart". The unique life background accommodates the pain buried in the poet's heart, and the unique writing style clearly expresses the depressed feelings. The sadness of the city is that the city has brought pain to the world. The poet uses the word "fog" to describe the atmosphere shrouded in this city, which can better express the "fog" brought to the poet by the authorities in this city many years ago, and this "fog" has brought sorrow to this city. What this city has brought to urban people living in the shadow of "fog" makes poets angry and needs readers to daydream. Compared with the countryside, the city described by the poet has similar vital signs. Under the ruthless destruction of social reality, the two just reach the same goal by different routes. The "country" has sorrow and pain, and the "city" also has sorrow and pain, which is reflected in Wang Fa's poems without exception.
What is the relationship between "city" and "country" has never been discussed in Wang Fa's poems. His focus is on the reality and the close observation of people's living reality in these two lands. He used the unique experience of the old man and the facts of the writer seen by an experienced person. It is because of these facts that his poems become true and clever. Coupled with his unpretentious language and unique experience of life pain, he constructed the real world in the poet's mind. In Wang Fa's poems, there are no castles in the air, no mirage, some are his meticulous observation, and some are his daring to be the first in the world.
There are not many flowery words and ostentatious elements in his poems, only straightforward writing and realistic fables. He "intervened" the "real" cases in his life into poetry, involved in poetry writing, and broadened his vision of poetry. He devoted himself to creating a "painful" real world with short poems, hoping to awaken readers and numb people with his own strength and what to do in the face of social reality. Between "country" and "city", the poet looks for the support of shouting, feels wronged for social injustice, tears for the "fog" of the city, and is hysterical for the ignorance, defeat and decadence of the country. Each of his poems is exquisite, the language is extremely concise, the image is very simple, and there is a great feeling of cherishing ink as gold. At the same time, many poems deliberately use figurative rhetoric to construct their own imaginary "fable country". Whether it is "city" or "country", there are many symbols, and they are diversified from many angles, which is the genius of Wang's poems.
label
Every time I read Wang Fa's poems, I have different feelings, because he always gives us the possibility of hypothesis, so that we can daydream with the thoughts of his poems. There are 1000 possible interpretations of a poem. I can't accurately grasp the poet's feelings at that time and in the local area, but I think the pain caused by some real phenomena should be heard by all readers.
As for Wang Fa's poems, I just chose the two broad concepts of "country" and "city" to explore and find the pain points of the poet's poetry writing, which is mixed with various subjective factors and has many unfairness. Please discuss it.
