Han Niu, whose real name was Shi, was later changed to Shi, also known as Niu Ting. Pen name Gu Feng, a native of Dingxiang, Shanxi, is a modern poet in China. Vice President of Chinese Poetry Society and Honorary Member of Chinese Writers Association.

In May, 2003, Slay levski, the visiting chairman of the Macedonian Writers Association, presented Han Niu with the "Literary Baton Award" at the Chinese Writers Association, which is an international literary award established by the Macedonian Writers Association. In 2004, Han Niu won the first "New Poetry International Poetry Award-Big Dipper Award".
