Two poems by Xue Mei are a set of seven-character quatrains written by Lu Meipo, a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. These two poems illustrate the relationship between plum, snow and poetry, and they are indispensable. Only when they are combined can they form beautiful spring scenery.
The first two sentences of the first poem are about Xue Mei's striving for spring, which is up to the poet to judge. The last two sentences are the poet's comments on Mei and Xue. The first sentence of the second poem is about the relationship between plum and snow, and the second sentence is about the relationship between snow and poetry. The last two sentences describe the relationship between plum blossom, snow and poetry. Plum blossoms are in bloom but it hasn't snowed yet, so it still lacks poetry. These two poems are full of interest.
Poetry tells us that everything is divided into two parts, with advantages and disadvantages. In addition, comparison is a good way for us to know things, because only comparison can distinguish them.
