The hole the dog climbed out of was open,
A voice shouted:
Climb out and set you free!
I long for freedom, but I know it well.
-how can a person's body climb out of a dog hole!
I hope that one day, the underground fire will come,
Burn me with this living coffin,
I should be in fire and blood
Get eternal life! "
This is a well-known poem by Ye Ting, one of the founders of China People's Liberation Army, the commander-in-chief of the August 1st Nanchang Uprising and an outstanding proletarian revolutionary.
At the beginning of the poem is a set of concise and vivid antitheses, which form a sharp contrast and contain praise, criticism, love, hate and hatred. At the same time, it also paves the way for the last two sections. "A voice shouted:-climb out and give you freedom" vividly and profoundly shows that the essence of "freedom" given by reactionaries is the decline of personality and the destruction of integrity!
The second sentence of this poem is sonorous, hit the floor, which fully embodies the noble character of a revolutionary who would rather die than surrender. "Freedom", for a revolutionary in a cage, is how eager! But "freedom" can't be bought by reactionaries' charity or kowtowing to the enemy. But only by struggling and overthrowing the old world can we really get it! Therefore, in the extremely dark prison, the poet still sings his own song of hope: "I hope that one day, the underground fire will come and burn my living coffin." I deserve eternal life in fire and blood! " From here, we see a proletarian revolutionary's broad mind and fearless spirit of self-dedication.
The three paragraphs of Prison Song go deep into each other, expressing the distinct feelings of general Ye Ting's love and hate, showing the loyalty and lofty personality of proletarian revolutionaries, and reflecting the revolutionary's brand-new outlook on life and values.
After reading this poem, there will be a hot air in my chest, which makes people feel deeply. This poem teaches people to understand the dignity of personal integrity, and can't give up in the face of any external pressure, let alone spoil it.
