The Mushui River originates from Zhongnan Mountain, merges with Miao Spring, Hugong Spring, and Baisha Spring, passes through Jinxiugou, goes up from the south of Qubao Village, down to the east of Pitou Village, winds for seven or eight miles, and ends at Dugong Pi is the center. It is wide and deep. It is rich in Pi fish and has many colorful bamboos. It has been a tourist attraction in Guanzhong since ancient times. According to historical records, Meipei flourished in the Zhou and Qin Dynasties. It was a tourist attraction in the Shanglin Garden during the Qin and Han dynasties. It flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties, but was defeated in the late Ming Dynasty. In the late Ming Dynasty, war broke out the dikes to collect fish, and gradually dried up and became fertile farmland.

According to the "Huxian County Chronicles" and "Shidao Chronicles", the 14 miles around Meipi are rich in Pi fish. In the second year of Baoli's reign (826), Li Zhan, Emperor Jingzong of the Tang Dynasty, established the Mupei Order to Shangshi, and began to take control of the area, prohibiting others from fishing, and allowing the people to irrigate the ground and grind the Beishui River. In the early days of Li Ang Taihe (827-835), Emperor Wenzong of the Tang Dynasty, the imperial edict was returned to prefectures and counties. According to "Shui Jing Zhu": "Pi water flows out of Yichun Temple, and flood water flows into the northeast." According to "Shuowen", "Pei River is in Hu County, fourteen miles away, and flood water flows into the north."

There are many places of interest and historic sites around Maobo. To the south is Jinxiugou, which was run by Feng Jun after he was demoted and returned to his hometown. To the southwest is Qubao Village, which is said to be the birthplace of Liu Hai, the protagonist of the dramas "Liu Hai Plays with Golden Toad" and "Liu Hai Catch Firewood". There are nine female tombs on the northwest bank of Pi, which are said to be the burial place of the daughter of Qin Shihuang Yingzheng. One theory is that Hu Hai, the second emperor of Qin, killed nine sisters, and another is that the nine tombs were built for one person. In Pitou Village, there is the burial place where Qin Shi Huang’s mother was placed under house arrest. In the Yang Palace, there is the Kongcuitang (now called Du Gong Temple) where Du Fu lived while boating; there is the reading table of Bai Juyi, the poet of the Tang Dynasty; Wang Jiling, the father of King Wen of the Zhou Dynasty; There is the Meipi Academy where Ming Dynasty scholar Wang Jiusi lived in seclusion in his later years; nearby are Zifeng, Zifeng Pavilion, Feng Jun Villa, Wei Zhuang's former residence, Jinsha Monument, Baibu Sanyan Bridge, Sudan Garden, Yichun Temple and the Eight Scenic Spots of Meipi.

The eight scenes are: the magic lantern of the royal mausoleum, the green smoke in the sky, the sunset of the golden monument, the earth lotus reflecting the moon, the drunken wind of Dudi, the three terraces enjoying the shade, and the reflection of the temple and bridge. , Hewan Xuetao.

Nowadays, with the rise of tourism, local villagers raised funds in the old Meipi area in the 1980s to use the water resources of Meipi to build dams, rebuild lakes, build pavilions, restore the former residences of celebrities, palaces and mausoleums, and establish ancient The inscribed stones, the previously built Meipi Lake, Wang Jiling, Kongcuitang, Fuyang Palace, Liuhai Temple, etc. have been renovated. Although Meipi Lake is not as large as in the past, it has initially restored its former beauty.
