On December 22, 2018, Qujing City’s Second Junior High School Chinese Language Rongzeke Famous Teacher Studio held a “Benchmarking Points and Accurate Review” teaching competition at Mohong Middle School. I taught “Chinese Archeology” For the lesson "Poetry Appreciation - Character Refining", I was fortunate to receive comments and guidance from experts. My reflections on this lesson are as follows:
1. Reflection on teaching design
Teaching design focuses on facing the whole person and cultivating It is designed to improve students' "listening, speaking, reading and writing" abilities, strengthen study guidance, cultivate students' good study habits and thinking habits, and improve students' appreciation ability.
Appreciation of ancient poems is a difficult point in the Chinese language test for high school entrance examination, especially the word refining category is more difficult. The goal of my teaching design in this class is to summarize and accumulate the steps and methods to solve such problems through explanation and practice, so as to improve students' problem-solving ability and appreciation of ancient poetry.
The teaching idea is "talk - do - talk - practice", that is, the story of Su Xiaomei discussing poetry is introduced first, so that students can understand the meaning of the word "Lian", and then It is pointed out that the appreciation of Chinese characters is a high-frequency test point for poetry appreciation in middle school. It is proved by using the high school entrance examination questions from the 2018 Provincial Examination Paper and the 2017 Qujing Examination Paper. Students are asked to try to answer the questions first, and then the teacher explains and summarizes the steps for answering this type of questions. and solve the problem, then let the students practice the word "straight" and "round" in "The solitary smoke in the desert is straight, the sun sets in the long river" (Wang Wei's "Shi to the Fortress"), and finally assign a crossword puzzle Homework is for students to complete outside class to expand students' ability to apply the knowledge points they have learned.
The teaching method adopts group competition, selects exercises, summarizes and applies what has been learned.
The design of teaching objectives is accurate and reasonable; the teaching ideas are clear and in line with students' cognitive rules; the teaching methods are appropriate and effective.
2. Reflection on the teaching process
The teaching process basically follows the teaching design ideas. The introductory session achieved the expected excitement effect. The examples were explained clearly and the students were very capable and answered the questions quite actively. The practice session left enough time for students to think, and the learning effect far exceeded expectations. The ending was a bit rushed.
3. Reflection on Existing Problems
Looking back at the teaching process of this lesson, the main problems are as follows:
1. Lack of passion. This is the biggest shortcoming of my teaching. My teaching style is rigid and unnatural, and I cannot use my true feelings to mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning.
2. The teaching language is not standardized. From time to time, there are situations where students speak awkwardly and stutter, and the evaluation of students after answering questions is single, lacking pertinence and innovation.
3. Not familiar with the operation of multimedia. For example, when using a microphone, the speaking rhythm and speed cannot be well controlled; when operating the page-turning pen, I often look down at the buttons, which seems unsmooth.
4. The writing on the blackboard is not standardized. Except for the word "satisfactory" about the subject, the following lines were written a bit casually, and there was even an indecent behavior of wiping the blackboard with your fingers when you couldn't find the blackboard eraser.
5. Insufficient preparation. There were only ten minutes left before the last class ended and this class started. When the students finished their work, there was less than five minutes left. I divided the students into groups first, distributed practice materials, wrote the pre-class mottos, and then it was time for class. It was time, so I had to call class hastily. The students stood up and said hello. After talking for a few words, I realized that I didn’t have a page-turning pen ready. Fortunately, I found it quickly.
6. The praise and encouragement to students is not adequate. There was a girl in the class who was very active and answered many questions, but she did not give targeted praise, which was a bit regretful.
In short, this class also exposed my superficial side, and there are still many areas that need to work hard.
In the future, we must be fully prepared, from teaching tools to mentality. Standardize the teaching language, let students read more, pay attention to inspiring students' thinking, and make the class more interesting and more Chinese-flavored.
