Filial piety and respect for the elderly are the traditional virtues of China culture. What are the stories about filial piety and respect for the elderly?

The story of filial piety

Case 1

The story of Zilu's filial piety with rice

There is an old saying in China: "Filial piety comes first in all the virtues". It means that filial piety is the first of all virtues. If a person doesn't know how to honor his parents, it's hard to imagine that he will love his motherland and people.

the ancients said: "I am old when I am old, and people are old; Young and young, and young people. " We should not only honor our parents, but also respect other old people and care for young children, and create a honest folk custom of respecting the old and loving the young in the whole society. This is the responsibility of our students in the new era.

Zilu was born in Lu at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period. He is famous for his political affairs among Confucius' disciples. Especially famous for being brave. However, when Zilu was small, the family was very poor and lived by eating coarse grains and wild vegetables for many years.

once, my elderly parents wanted to eat rice, but there was no rice at home. What should I do? Zilu thought that if he crossed several mountains and borrowed some rice from his relatives, wouldn't he be able to meet his parents' requirements?

So, Xiao Zilu walked more than ten miles over the mountains, and brought a small bag of rice back from his relatives' home. When he saw his parents eating delicious rice, Zi Lu forgot his fatigue. Neighbors all praised Zilu as a brave and filial boy.

Case 2

Bao Gong was Bao Zheng (999-162 AD), whose name was Xiren, who was born in Hefei, Luzhou (now Hefei, Anhui). His father, Bao Yi, used to be a doctor in Chaosan, and was posthumously awarded as an assistant minister of punishments after his death. Bao Gong was famous for his filial piety when he was a teenager, and he was straightforward and honest. In Song Renzong Tiansheng five years, that is, in 127 AD, he entered the Jinshi, when he was 28 years old. He first served as a judge of Dali Temple, and later as a magistrate of Jianchang (now Yongxiu, Jiangxi). Because his parents were too old to go abroad with him, Bao Gong immediately resigned from his office and went home to take care of his parents. His filial piety was praised by officials.

A few years later, his parents died one after another, and Bao Gong stepped into his official career again. This is also under the hard persuasion of the villagers. In feudal society, if parents only have one son, then this son can't leave his parents alone and go to other places to be an official. This is against the feudal law. Under normal circumstances, parents will follow for their son's future. Or the son and the rest of the family to persuade. Parents don't want to follow their son to an official place to support the elderly, which is rare in feudal times, because it means that the son has to abide by the constraints of feudal ethics-resign from his official position to take care of himself. The history books did not explain the specific reasons. It may be that his parents were sick and could not bear the bumps on the road. Bao Gong resigned from his office.

No matter what the situation is, Bao Gong can voluntarily resign from his official position, which still shows that he is not the kind of person who is obsessed with officialdom. Filial piety to parents can also be regarded as an example for people with some qualities today. In the previous stories, the most important thing was Bao Gong's unselfishness, ignoring Bao Gong's filial piety to his parents.

Case 3

Huangxiang in the Eastern Han Dynasty was a model of filial piety recognized in history. When Huang Xiang was a child, his family was difficult. At the age of 1, he lost his mother and his father was ill. In the sultry summer, he used a fan to catch mosquitoes before going to bed and cool his father's bed and pillow so that he could fall asleep earlier. On a cold winter night, he first got into the cold bed and warmed it with his body before letting his father sleep. In winter, he can't afford to wear a cotton-padded jacket. In order not to make his father sad, he never cries cold, showing the appearance of cheering and jumping for joy, and trying to create a happy atmosphere at home, so that his father can relax and recover soon.

Case 4

Zhu De, a revolutionary of the older generation, wrote "Remembering My Mother", praising her incomparable love and noble quality with infinite affection. Mao Zedong received a letter from his mother's critically ill family, and went on a journey day and night. He stroked his mother's coffin and wailed aloud. In grief, he wrote "A Tribute to Mother": "My mother has a high wind and is the first to promote fraternity". Soong Ching Ling's filial piety was sincere, and she "sobbed" before her mother's spirit. Chen Yi visited her mother and insisted on washing clothes for her mother who was paralyzed in bed. Li Peng is a filial mother. On holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Li Peng always bring their mother's favorite food and pay their respects to her.

Case 5

A 13-year-old boy's speech entitled "Mom, I am your eye" in Jianping Middle School in Shanghai, which is famous for implementing the "cross-century education project" in China, made 26 members of the national women mayors' delegation cry. When this classmate was 9 years old, his mother was blind, and his young shoulders bore more responsibilities and obligations of the family prematurely. In order to buy a tape of Shanghai opera that his mother liked, he used his rest day to run in the streets of Shanghai for six hours!

Case 6

Chen Yi showed filial piety to his parents

I have read many stories about celebrities showing filial piety to their parents, such as: saving their mothers by fire, saving their mothers by sucking phlegm ... What moved me most was the story of "visiting their mothers in Chen Yi".

In p>1962, Marshal Chen Yi came back from a visit abroad and passed through his hometown, taking time to visit his seriously ill mother.

Chen Yi's mother is paralyzed in bed and can't take care of herself. When Chen Yi entered the house, the mother was very happy. She was just about to say hello to her son. Suddenly, she remembered that the changed diaper was still beside the bed, and she motioned the people around her to hide it under the bed.

Chen Yi was very excited when he met his long-lost mother. He stepped forward to hold her hand and asked this and that with concern. After a while, he said to his mother, "Mom, what did you hide under the bed when I came in?" Mother can't hide it, so she has to tell the truth. Hearing this, Chen Yi said quickly, "Mom, you have been ill in bed for a long time, and I am very sad that I can't wait on you. I should wash these pants, so why hide them?" Mother was very embarrassed, and the people next to her quickly took out their diapers and rushed to wash them. Chen Yi quickly stopped and said emotionally, "Mom, when I was a child, you didn't know how many times you washed my diaper. Today, even if I washed 1 diapers, I can't repay your kindness!" Say that finish, Chen Yi take diapers and other dirty clothes to wash clean, mother smiled with relief.

Marshal Chen Yi is a big shot with busy official duties, but he never forgets his old mother at home. I took time out of my busy schedule to go home to visit my mother who was paralyzed in bed, wash her diaper, and comfort her sick mother with caring words. Although what Marshal Chen Yi did for his mother was just some trivial things that couldn't be more ordinary, from these trivial things, he saw his deep love for his mother. He never forgets what his mother has done for himself, understands his mother's hardships and difficulties, and knows how to repay her for her upbringing.

The reed flower flew out with the broken seam, and his father knew that Min Min Min was abused. When father comes home, he wants to divorce his stepmother.
