A representative poet of symbolism

The symbolism of China's new poetry was marked by Li Jinfa's Light Rain, Diners, Bad Time and Ode to Joy in the late 1920s. The representative poets are Mu, Feng Naichao, Dai Wangshu, Wang, Liang, Feng Zhi and Bian. Most of them studied under French symbolists Baudelaire, Wei Erlun and Malarme. In the first half of 1930s, symbolism poetry was very popular and reached its peak in 1936- 1937. People regarded it as the representative of modernist poetry.
