Painting, calligraphy, piano, chess, poetry and hops are all inseparable from it.
Now seven things have changed, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea.
Translation:
Seven elegant things in life: piano, chess, books, paintings, poems, wine and flowers, all enjoyed in those years are so romantic and unique. Now, these seven pastimes have all changed, replaced by those vulgar things in life.
