Poetry type

There are different types of poetry, and understanding these types will help us to better use poetry to sing and pray:

There are more than 60 elegies, which are divided into individual elegies (3, 22, 3 1, 39, 42, 57, 7 1, 88, 120, 139,149. Mostly used to express sadness. For example, after 9 1 1, many Christians read 88 poems.

Gratitude. 6 group gratitude poems (65, 67, 75, 107, 124, 136) and 10 personal gratitude poems (18, 30, 32, 34, 40, 32, 34, 36).

Great. Praise God as the creator (8, 19, 104, 148), and praise God as the protector and benefactor of Israel (66, 100,1,/kloc-0).

Review. 78, 105, 106, 135, 136, these poems guide people to review the history of salvation.

Celebrate and affirm:

Accessory poems 24, 29, 47, 93, 95-99

Song of Zion. 46,48,76,84,87, 122。 Old Testament saints use it to praise the holy city, and New Testament saints use it to praise heaven.

A poem full of wisdom. 36, 37, 49, 73,112,127,128,133. Like Proverbs 8, praise wisdom and intelligent life.

Trust in poetry. 10: 1 1, 16, 23, 27, 62, 63, 9 1, 12 1. These poems express that God is reliable, and even in despair, they should still talk about God's kindness and care for his people.
