Qian Gang, also known as Yang Dan, was born in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. CPPCC cadres in Honggu District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. A famous poet and critic, he used to be known as He Mingyu and A Jun, etc. Graduated from the Department of Library and Information Science of Lanzhou University 1995, with a college degree. 1993 began to write poetry, 1996 autumn turned to post-modernism poetry research and writing. In the same year, he founded and edited the folk publication Blue Ocean Literature, and published poems in domestic and foreign literary publications. His prose is nearly one million words. He has been committed to the development of poetry for many years, and has served as the chief planner, tutor, consultant, honorary editor-in-chief and friendship editor-in-chief of more than 30 literary publishing houses. Participated in editing China's Poems 1998 (specially appointed deputy editor), China Dictionary of Literary Talents and other books, and his biographies and works have been included in more than ten authoritative dictionaries such as World Talent Pool, Grand Ceremony of China Literary Talents in the Cross-century, Scientific China Talent Pool and Contribution of China Talents in the Century.
