Du Fu is known as a poet, and Du Fu is just as famous as Li Bai, known as the "Great Li Du" in the world, and has written The Collection of Du Gongbu. He wrote more than 1,4 poems in his life, which are rich in quantity, excellent in quality, widely circulated and influential, and are the highest in the Tang Dynasty, and it is hard for later poets to match them. Du Fu's poems inherited the spirit of "feeling sad and happy, and arising from things" in the Yuefu of Han and Wei Dynasties. However, he got rid of the shackles of the ancient Yuefu, boldly innovated and created many new Yuefu poems, which were "famous for things, and there was nothing to rely on", and became a master of the thought and art of Tang poetry. He was little known before his death and abandoned by the world. After his death, he was praised by Fan Huang, Han Yu, Yuan Zhen, Bai Juyi and others. Du Fu's poems have a great influence on the poems of Yuan Bai and Li Shangyin. After the Song Dynasty, Yu Wang, Wang Anshi, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Lu You and others admired Du Fu's poems, and Wen Tianxiang even regarded Du Fu's poems as the spiritual force to stick to national integrity.
Mao Zedong once said to the famous Soviet writer Federlin, "He (Du Fu) was the greatest people's poet in ancient China. His works are immortal literature of China's later generations' artistic appreciation ... and an excellent literary legacy left for all mankind. " Mr. Lu Xun once said: "Du Fu doesn't seem to be an ancient man, as if he is still living in our pile today." When Guo Moruo visited Du Fu's Caotang, he wrote an inscription: "The world is scarred, and the sage in the poem; The people are suffering, and the bottom of the pen is undulating. " In September, 212, when commemorating the 13th anniversary of Du Fu's birth in Chengdu, Huang Jinxiang, a famous scholar of calligraphy and painting, improvised poems, saying, "Poetry in the belly of Hui Yi, depressed and uplifting, endowed me with thoughts. There is no smell in the clouds and the moon, and the words of human suffering are spit out. " On the echo wall of thousands of years of history, the voice of worshipping Du is endless.
