Just yesterday, when Jesus was cleaning the temple, he announced loudly: My father's temple. And now Jesus uses a "your home". Yes, now the temple of God the Father is no longer the temple of God the Father, but has become people's home. God has left this temple full of secularity and hypocrisy, and it has only become a gathering of people without God.
Today, we often hear a voice in our church saying that the church is our home. I don't mean to criticize this sentence, which is nothing in itself, but a complex, hoping that believers can take care of and manage the church as their home. However, we must also admit that in the current church that lacks theological and doctrinal foundation. Instead of playing too many positive roles, this sentence has made today's church chaotic.
The foundation of the church is based on obedience to God's truth and respect for God's holiness and glory. In a sense, the church is not our home at all. The only owner of this home is God, and we are slaves. Do slaves have their own homes? The wrong belief has led many people to regard themselves as the masters of the church today, and feel that since the church is my home, I have the right to make irresponsible remarks and walk freely in this home without any constraints. So, you see, what is the church like today?
At the party, I really think of the temple as my home. I drink tea and pour water, chat and wear casually, and the podium becomes a podium to satisfy my physical entertainment. In the management of the church, everyone should intervene, not simply give advice, but feel that it is right to do what they think. For the shepherd, it is simply ignored. Behind the surface respect, in fact, I feel that it is just to give your shepherd a face.
We must not ignore the teachings of Jesus. When the church is no longer focused on God, everything is no longer to respect him, but to focus on people, and the Ministry has become people-oriented. I'm afraid that the home of God the Father will really become our own home, and some of us will just stay and entertain ourselves in it, while our Lord has already gone out and will never come back. In the first verse of chapter 24, it says: Jesus went out of the temple ... After this time, Jesus never entered the temple again. Teaching Day became Jesus' last trip to the temple. I only hope that today's church will think about whether the Lord is still in your church and mine. Don't let the Lord Jesus also say to us, "Look, your house is left to you.".
