12. 1? Poetry 42:

A sermon of the sons of Korah, to the chief music-maker.

I. 1 God, my heart longs for you as a deer longs for a stream. My heart longs for God, the eternal God; When must I appear before God? I eat tears day and night, and people always say to me, "Where is your God?"

2.4 I always walk with all the people and lead them to the house of God with the sound of cheering and praising, and all of them keep this festival. I feel very sad when I think about this. Why are you depressed, my heart? Why are you fidgeting with me? I should look to God, because his smiling face helps me, and I will praise him.

My God, my soul is depressed within me, so I remember you from the land of Jordan, from Hermon Ridge and from Mount Misha. When your waterfall rings, the abyss responds to the abyss, and your wave Hong Tao overflows me. During the day, the Lord will have mercy on me; In the evening, I will sing and pray to the God who gave me life.

I will say to god, my rock, "why have you forgotten me?" Why do I always mourn because of the oppression of the enemy? 10 My enemies revile me like breaking my bones and keep saying to me, Where is your God? Why are you depressed, my heart? Why are you fidgeting with me? Hope in God, for I will praise him. He is the glory of my face and my God.

This poem is written by Korah's descendants. Korah betrayed Moses and God when he left Egypt. Korah and Abilan were severely judged by God. Man must take responsibility before God. Although Korah was tried for his sins, Korah's sons began to fear God and serve God before him. It can be seen that people's origins are nothing, and all the disrespect of ancestors is nothing. God looks at people's minds before God. The descendants of Korah are blessed by God. Amen.

From this poem, we can see an outpouring of sacred feelings. The poet longs for God and sees him. He once wanted to go to the temple to worship God, which was a kind of joyful worship. But now, in a foreign country, there is no life of worshipping God. Moreover, foreigners laugh at the poet's beliefs, oppress, insult and vilify the existence of God. In this case, the poet's heart is extremely sad, but he looks to God and is full of strength to praise him. He knows that his life is given by God, and he knows God's love. In this scene, the poet looks up to God, who is the glory of his face and the God who helps him with his smiling face. Faith can only show its charming fragrance under the most difficult circumstances. The background of this poem is probably the poem when Israel was exiled to a foreign country, or the poem when the poet himself left Israel and lived in a foreign country. In any case, the poet still looks up to God in this scene, although he is sad but full of joy.

First of all, the author longs for God just as a deer longs for a stream. God who longs for eternal life, looks forward to seeing God's face and feeds on tears. The cause of grief is that outsiders question the God of Israel because of what happened to the author. Such a holy emotion, a close mentality born of knowing God, and the grief that God's name is questioned are very normal attitudes of a devout saint. The poet longs for the sanctification of God's emotion to a rich realm. This is a blessed man.

The author remembered the scene of worship before, and everyone went together. From verse 6, we can see that the poet's home is in the north of Israel, and he needs to go to the temple in southern Judah to worship God. The Israelites entered the temple of God with the voice of praise and kept a feast to God. The poet is depressed when he thinks about this, because there is no such scene now. But the poet still has faith in God. He looked to God and knew that the God of Israel was the God of all the earth and the God of all things. In this case, God still helps him with a smile, and he wants to praise God.

Although the poet was depressed, he remembered God, that is, in the land of Jordan, Hermon Ridge and Misha Mountain where he lived. In the seventh section, when your waterfall rings, the abyss responds to the abyss, and your wave Hong Tao overflows me. It can be literally translated as: the voice of God's pipeline, the echo between the deepest part of the soul and the deepest part, and the waves of God are romantic over me. This is a profound expression of experiencing God's grace in worship. Only in the depths of the soul can there be such an experience, which is quite different from the superficial inner feelings and emotions of modern people. Verse 8 goes on to say that the Lord will show mercy to me during the day; In the evening, I will sing and pray to the God who gave me life. This is a synonym for expressing God's life and God's love.

The author's present situation is that he is oppressed and grieved by the enemy. The insult of the enemy is like breaking the author's bones and constantly despising where the God of Israel is in words. So the author was depressed and agitated, which touched his sacred feelings. But this emotion gives birth to a kind of glory, that is, looking up to God and praising God. God is the God who helps him and is his glory. Suffering and the deepest oppression are nothing, and human life can be sublimated to the realm of sadness and joy. This is not schizophrenia. This is a manifestation of divine love in the environment. In this way, it is full of great hope and infinite power. This artistic conception is difficult to express in human language. This is a feeling of life touched by the Holy Spirit of God. It is also the mood that Christians often experience.
