Mei (1002— 1060) was born in Xuancheng, Xuanzhou (now Anhui). Xuancheng was called Wanling in ancient times, so it was called Mei Wanling. In the third year of Injong (105 1), he was called to try and was given the background of Jinshi. His poetic style is simple and unpretentious, which is called "Wanling Style". There is a collection of Mr. Wan Ling.

When making pottery in front of the door, there is no tile in the house.

Ten fingers never touch mud, and scales live in the building.
