Original text of Daisy’s poem

In the fragrant buds of the morning - oh,

The grass waves flow gently into the distance under the breeze,

In the field where daisies grow,< /p>

I see my lover roaming slowly.

While we roamed happily,

We neither spoke nor laughed;

In the fragrant buds of the morning - oh,

p>

I kissed my lover on both cheeks.

A skylark sings and soars from the earth,

A skylark sings from the clouds to the lower world,

In this field where daisies grow,< /p>

She and I were walking hand in hand.
