After watching "Warm Spring"
The school organized a movie viewing. This was the first time I watched a movie together since graduating from elementary school. The name of the movie is "Warm Spring".
The plot of this film is not complicated. It tells the story of a girl named Xiaohua who was abused by her relatives after her parents and grandmother died. After running away from home, she was adopted by her grandfather, and then was adopted by her uncle and aunt. Rejected, the two finally changed their attitudes, and Xiaohua graduated from university and returned to the village to become a mountain village teacher. Although the plot of the story is simple, it focuses on some details and language to make the characters distinct and the plot touching and tear-jerking.
But today I want to talk about some of my opinions on this movie.
During the movie, many people cried. However, I found that most of these people shed tears only because of Xiaohua's tragic life experience, her uncle's and aunt's attitude towards Xiaohua, and the fact that her uncle was also an orphan. I don't deny that these are very touching, but I think we should pay attention to the following points when watching the film:
1. The kindness of Xiaohua.
Even though her aunt wanted to give Xiaohua away many times and made things difficult in every possible way, Xiaohua never said a word "no" to her aunt and did not hate her. This is in sharp contrast to the aunt who hates Xiaohua just because Xiaohua is not her biological child.
2. Grandpa’s kindness.
At the end of the film, we learned that our uncle was also an orphan, picked up by his grandfather. The grandfather's attitude towards the non-biological child contrasts with the aunt's previous attitude, portraying the kind-hearted image of the grandfather in the hearts of the audience.
3. Xiaohua finally returned to the countryside to become a teacher.
After graduating from college, Xiaohua returned to the village and became a rural teacher. This is not only because "there are unforgettable memories here", but also fully reflects her dedication.
These are some of my understandings of the content of the movie, but I think it is not enough to only understand the phenomenon. We should dig deeper into its purpose. Some people cry in confusion after watching a movie just because of the plot. I think this is stupid. It's normal to be moved by watching a movie, but you also have to look at what's hidden in the plot of the movie. Take this movie as an example. After crying, I just lamented that the little flower is so pitiful, the uncle and aunt are so hateful, the grandpa is so great, etc., etc., I thought this was meaningless. Because this movie can't just make everyone feel emotional because of these plots, and then increase the box office revenue by earning the tears of the audience. If that's the case, then this movie is too one-sided.
I think the significance of this movie is to tell us that there are several types of people in society like Xiaohua, grandpa, uncles and aunts. Of course, the image of uncles and aunts cannot be completely denied. They have changed from "evil" to "good". It tells us what is true, good and beautiful, and also allows us to clearly understand social reality.
If you see a poor child on the way home after watching a movie, you still ignore it (begging is not counted), and after returning home, you still act like a little emperor or princess, and you think that your parents have paid a lot of attention. If you deserve it (this is a common problem among modern only children), then you are just watching this movie to watch the excitement, and I think you may not even understand the excitement.
Also, I think there is no point in just crying when watching a movie like this. We should use more practical methods to help those "little flowers" in existence and real life. The fact that the movie can be performed shows that the true colors of these people exist. After all, art comes from life. If I were a shark and every tear could turn into a pearl, then I would be willing to hide at home and cry every day and give all the pearls to poor children, but this is unrealistic. What's the use of crying? This society does not believe in tears! Today's society only values ??true ability. Since you feel pity for little flowers, you should learn more and better skills and help more "little flowers" in the future. I think it would be great if one day China cannot make such a film. That means that China has become rich and powerful, and the original form of Xiao Hua no longer exists. Why are there so few films made in the United States such as "Qiu Ju's Lawsuit" and "No One Left Behind"? Because the economy of the United States is more developed than ours, and its charitable institutions are better than ours. In some ways, movies can better reflect the strength of a country.
It should be said that I have thought a lot after watching this movie, and the above are just my humble opinions. The opinions are not yet mature and full of loopholes. I hope everyone will understand.
