China writer. Formerly known as Wei, and pen name Hongbai Yang. He is from Zhengzhou, Henan. Born in1March 6, 920. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he joined the Eighth Route Army and studied at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. After graduation, he worked in the army for a long time in cultural propaganda. He used to be deputy editor-in-chief of literature and art of the People's Liberation Army, deputy director of the workshop of the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army, and minister of culture of the Beijing Military Region. His early creation was mainly poetry, and the long poem "Scenery at Dawn" won the Lu Xun Literature and Art Award of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region Federation. The main poems are included in Selected Poems of Wei Wei. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the people of China devoted themselves to the creation of essays, newsletters and reportage, and made remarkable achievements. Famous articles such as Who is the cutest person, The Affection of Parting have been circulated for a while, and Who is the cutest person and Journey of a Strong Man have been collected and published one after another. 1978 completed the novel The Orient and won the first Mao Dun Literature Prize. Later, he wrote a novel "The Red Ribbon of the Earth", which was full of the sense of the times and revolutionary heroism.
