Lin Daiyu's poetic temperament is obvious. As far as poetry itself is concerned, she has an irresistible creative impulse. This is typical in her chrysanthemum poem which won the first prize: "Rogue poet, the devil invades unconsciously and meditates on the stones around the fence", which is a fascinating and uncontrollable poem.
, like possessed, harassing her. Bai Juyi, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, said that "drunkenness leads to evil hair in poetry, and sad songs go west in the afternoon" (see Bai Changqing's drunken songs II), which precisely describes this poetic situation. "There is a frost in the end, and the quarrel is fragrant to the moon." The poet doesn't have to exert himself, just open the floodgate, and the fragrance and inner beauty naturally flow out from the corner of the milli-end. He wrote thoughtfully on the frosty moon. There is no need to pile up words and look for allusions here, but to write with your heart. Make people spy on the heart of self-pity, who can explain it in a discussion, who can't sue; Appreciate and admire Ling Tao's eternal blast, and lament the world's incomprehension. Although expressing realistic feelings, there is an ethereal idea, accompanying the moon with the clouds, climbing into a butterfly. Lin Daiyu is a poet, so there is really no need to have any famous sentences handed down from generation to generation. The charm and temperament of this poet alone are enough to make people feel broken.
In real life, the creation of poetry is often a spiritual activity that is difficult for poets to express in ordinary language. All kinds of poems of the characters in A Dream of Red Mansions, as an extension of their personality, have this function, which is especially important for Lin Daiyu, a character with rich spiritual life. Many feelings that are difficult to express with conventional plots and dialogues can be fully and perfectly expressed with the help of poetic language. For example, Baoyu was seriously injured, and Daiyu wept silently, choking with anger and unable to say a word. However, when she wrote poems on an old handkerchief, she felt sentimental and could not avoid suspicion. "Tears are empty in her eyes, but for whom?" "The beads on the color line are hard to collect, and the old traces of Xiangjiang River have been blurred." It turned out that Lin Daiyu's "Happy Day in Town" was just to remember Baoyu. Throwing pearls and jade can only flow secretly. Not only can you not talk more when you meet, but your eyes are swollen with crying and you may even be laughed at. Without these sincere quatrains, I'm afraid it's hard to show the character's mentality at the moment so full. Many other poems should also look at it this way.
If we don't stick to Lin Daiyu's poems, we can find that many plots related to Lin Daiyu in A Dream of Red Mansions are also quite poetic. Lin Daiyu's third trip to Jiafu is an example of realistic novel description in a strict sense, showing a wonderful picture of life. The scene of Bao Daiyu's first meeting has a tacit understanding, which seems mysterious, but in fact it is poetic and can trigger rich associations. The myth of Shen Ying waiter and crimson pearl fairy echoes vaguely, giving people an infinite feeling, which seems to transcend time and space. Another example is that at the end of the 26th session, Lin Daiyu was shut outside Hongyi Garden, standing alone in the corner in the shade of flowers. The moss is cold, the flower diameter is cold, and her throat is sad, causing birds to fly and flowers to fall all over the ground. It is really "the flower soul is silent, and the bird dreams." This plot is poetic as a whole, and the characters and flowers and birds interact and blend with each other, so it is impossible to tell the truth of life from the poet's imagination, or life itself has become a poem. The writing origin and revision of chapter 78 of "The Daughter of Lotus" are also extraordinary and poetic. My little girl has no roots at the moment, which coincides with Baoyu's infatuation. She would rather believe that Qingwen has become a hibiscus god after her death, so she has this heart and turned her life into a poem. Poetry was just heard by Daiyu, so she and Baoyu put "red yarn in the account, and the child is affectionate; The sentence "My daughter's life is thin" in Longli, Huangshi was changed to "Under the screen window, I missed it; In Huangtuling, the dark victory skillfully weaves the logic of things, the mentality of characters and the prophecy of prophets. Is to change the poem, the artistic conception of the poem itself is sublimated, and the style is improved; And the plot of the novel also flashed a different kind of excavation. It should be said that Jia Baoyu is also a poet. Therefore, the intertwined plots of these two characters often reflect their feelings and feelings, showing a slight spiritual world. It contains the poetry in life.
It can be seen that the characteristics of Lin Daiyu's image-building are not only that there are many poems under her name in form, but that the writer wrote her poetic temperament and showed her inner world with poems, including poetizing some novel plots.
Analysis of Daiyu and coronach from Multi-dimensional Perspective
First, three interpretations from the traditional perspective.
The position of funeral poems in A Dream of Red Mansions is similar to that of Daughter of Furong in the book, but in terms of folk popularity, funeral poems are better. Funeral Poems, from the 27th chapter of A Dream of Red Mansions, is one of the two poems written by the author. It imitates the songs of the early Tang Dynasty and is full of lyricism and artistic achievements.
From the perspective of traditional culture, I personally summed up the interpretation of "funeral poems", which can be roughly divided into three types:
First, personality says:
This is the most important and deep-rooted one in the traditional interpretation of "mourning poems". When analyzing this word, many redologists will first associate it with Lin Daiyu's character. It is believed that this word is a creation used by the author to shape the characters and concentrate on expressing their personalities. The resulting explanations analyze the word into the following situations:
1, which embodies Lin Daiyu's sentimental and sensitive personality;
2. This word reflects Lin Daiyu's lonely, melancholy and desolate state of mind;
3, this word is an emotional interpretation of Lin Daiyu's unwillingness to be humiliated, unwilling to bow down and yield, and competitive. It reflects Lin Daiyu's aloof and arrogant character from the side.
Second, the poem predicts that:
People who hold this view believe that "Mourning Poetry" is actually a poem written by Lin Daiyu herself. The evidence cited is a quatrain named "tihongloumeng" written by Ming Yi who was contemporary with Cao Xueqin:
A sad funeral poem seems to have come true unconsciously. Andrew died for a wisp of love, Chen Qing fans continue HongLing (3).
To put it simply: I hope Die for Love can come back to life, but I can ask Bao to continue her HongLing and then continue her marriage. Under the hint or evidence of this quatrain, some people will analyze the "mourning words" in A Dream of Red Mansions as follows:
1, this word is a hint of Daiyu's personal fate, pointing out that Daiyu will "laugh at those who bury flowers today, who will be buried next year?" , died in a lonely and miserable situation.
2. This sentence also indicates the ultimate fate of everyone in the Jia family-"When is the beauty and freshness, once it falls, it will be hard to find it", "The willow pod is from the grass, whether the peach is floating or not". It is pointed out that the Jia family will inevitably decline, and everyone will inevitably suffer and wander around.
This sentence foretells the fate of Baoyu. Daiyu compared Baoyu to Liang Jianyan, a fragrant nest in March. "Liang Jianyan is too heartless." Daiyu knew that she was dying in such a situation, and also showed the relationship between Bao and Dai-"Although flowers can be pecked next year, no one will go to Liang's empty nest." The implication is that if "I" leaves, Baoyu himself will have nowhere to live.
This word shows the love tragedy between Baochai and Daiyu. In her poem, Daiyu wrote, "May my slave grow wings and fly with flowers to the end of the sky", indicating that she has the will and determination to pursue Baoyu for a long time, but "Where is the fragrant hill at the end of the sky?" She also knows that this pursuit does not belong, and tragedy is bound to happen.
Third, the theory of struggle:
The theory of resistance is mainly aimed at another personality characteristic of Lin Daiyu-arrogance. People who hold this view believe that the funeral home is not only sad and miserable, but also permeated with a sense of injustice, which embodies the indomitable quality of the hero's dream of freedom and happiness. In this view, the word is interpreted as follows:
1, Cao Xueqin himself once said: "Today's dusty, nothing, suddenly thinking about all the women that day, one by one, feel that their behavior and knowledge are above me, I am eyebrow, I am sincere; If I am really ashamed, it is more than enough, and it is useless to regret. " This sentence shows Cao Xueqin's writing motivation, and as his most devoted poem, of course, it should deeply contain this writing motivation. Therefore, funeral poems are the embodiment of women's awakening and struggle under the oppression of feudal society. In the words, Daiyu is not only mourning for herself, but the women in the whole feudal society are thinking about their own destiny and come to the conclusion that "it is better to lead an honest and clean life than to be trapped in a ditch". This shows the struggle voice of feudal women who are unwilling to oppress, yield and be "human".
2. By extension, the awakening of female consciousness means the awakening of people and the awakening of a social class. Funeral poems reflect women's desire for freedom and happiness in feudal society, and also show people's determination and hope for freedom and happiness under the oppression of feudal forces. This is not just a certain person, a certain kind of person, but the voice of awakening and resistance from the whole social class in the process of historical progress.
