Narcissus was walked by carp all night, and there were many red tears.

Banqiao xiaobie

Li shangyin

Looking back at the high city falling into the river, the window of the pavilion presses the microwave.

Narcissus wanted to go to carp, and Furong cried all night.

This is a poem to bid farewell to lovers. The "Banqiao" in the title refers to the Banqiao store in the west of Bianzhou in the Tang Dynasty. Just like the Acropolis in the west of Chang 'an, it is a place with frequent tourism and a place to bid farewell to relatives and friends. Li Shangyin's poems opened up a new realm of farewell with its unique fantastic and gorgeous colors.

The first sentence looks back at what you saw on the road. Gaocheng refers to bianzhou city. The river refers to the Milky Way at dawn. Looking back at the direction of Bianzhou, the Milky Way, which once crossed the sky obliquely and hung high above the city, has faded and moved westward. Under the pale sky background at dawn, the dim shadow of the high city looms. The couple once spent an unforgettable time in this high city, so when they parted, they couldn't help looking back with nostalgia and disappointment. Both of them feel that the days that have just passed away seem like a distant dream, just as Qin Guan wrote in a farewell poem in the Song Dynasty, "Looking back on Penglai in vain, there are many clouds" (Man Fang Ting). "Falling into a River" not only clearly points out the word "small" in the title, but also secretly implies that the period of Niu Nv is over and parting is imminent. It is not difficult to imagine that the couple said goodbye on the eve of parting and stayed up all night.

Banqiao is the scene. The pavilion is a pavilion facing the water on or near the Banqiao. It is not only the place where the two sides got together last night, but also the place where Xiao Lai separated. Under the window of the pavilion are slightly rippling waves. "Press" calligraphy and painting shows the scene of water waves near the window. In the hazy morning light, this pavilion looming on the sparkling water seems to be some kind of fairyland castle, and a fantastic and mysterious legend is smeared on this ordinary parting. The swaying microwave under the window, on the one hand, reminds people of the emotional waves between the two sides of the strait last night, on the other hand, connects the misty road (the famous Tongji Canal is under the Banqiao). Together, these two aspects are called "tenderness is like water, and ceremony is like a dream" (Qin Guan's "Queqiao Fairy"). The whole sentence describes the scenery, and the artistic conception is quite like the bridge between cows and girls, gathering at night and dawn, which naturally blends with the scene of "high city falling into a river" written in the first sentence.

If one or two sentences are only slightly mysterious in the landscape, then three or four sentences have completely entered the artistic conception of fairy tales. The sentence "Narcissus" secretly uses the piano. The Legend of Immortals said that Qin Gao was a native of Zhao in the Warring States Period and believed in immortal Taoism. I once came by red carp and stayed in the water for the next month. Here, the monkey black is compared to a daffodil passing through the carp ridge wave. The traveler took a boat to the west by water, and the ship to be delivered stopped at Banqiao Pavilion. Inspired by the fantastic scenery described in the first two sentences, the romantic imagination was further born here, and the realistic scene of "You linger there, and the blue boat urges you to make a fortune" (Liu Yong's "Lin Yuling") became the mythical realm of "Narcissus wants to go to carp". Therefore, although this kind of imagination is absurd, it is consistent with the prospect of the eyes and appears natural and true. In Hebo's Nine Songs of Chu, the scene of seeing off is described as follows: "When the children meet, they will go east and send the beauty to Nanpu. The waves are rushing, and lodicule is squashed. " The phrase "narcissus" seems to be inspired by it, but the realm described in this poem has a fairy-tale innocence.

The last sentence is forwarded to the sender. "Red Tears" secretly used Xue Lingyun. "Gleaning Notes" tells that Xue Lingyun, a beautiful woman from Wei Wendi, left her parents and got on the bus. She held back her tears with a jade spittoon and the pot became red. Speaking of the capital, the tears in the pot are as bloody as blood. Here, farewell is compared to a hibiscus in the water to show her beauty; From the red hibiscus flower, further imagine that its tears should also be "red tears." This naive and romantic imagination is similar to Li He's fantasy of "Remembering your tears like lead water" in "Golden Boy Ren Xian Ci Han Song". However, the benefit of this sentence seems to be mainly in the meaning of the pen. It describes the sender from the eyes of the walker, but it does not directly describe the sender's "farewell" mode, but recalls the scene of a lotus-like lover crying blood last night. This not only writes a sad farewell at night from Goodbye, but also further implies the embarrassment of night separation from Goodbye. In the window of the pavilion last night, the scene of "Candle wishing farewell, weeping till dawn for others" (Du Mu's Farewell), at the moment of Zheng Banqiao's farewell, "Holding hands to see tears, but saying nothing" (Liu Yong's Lin Yuling) was in sight.

One of the characteristics of Li Shangyin's poems is that he likes to draw materials from previous novels and fairy tales and combine them into novel and romantic mood and fantastic and gorgeous colors. But like this poem, it is really rare to write ordinary parting with legendary brushwork, blending reality and fantasy, and creating colorful fairy tale dreamland. The predecessors once said that "one mountain is more interesting" (Poems of Old Cold Hall by Zhang Jie), and it is a manifestation of "fun" to write a novel and romantic theme.
