Wang Quan (1822-1905 AD) was a native of Gangu County and a scholar of the late Qing Dynasty. After passing the imperial examination in 1844, he successively lectured at Minzhou Wenchang, Tianshui and Ningyuan academies, and cultivated a large number of talents. After the 11th year of Tongzhi (AD 1872), he successively served as magistrate of Xingping and Fuping counties, helping those in need and those in need, and gained a distinguished political reputation. In 1886, he resigned and returned to his hometown, where he devoted himself to learning and wrote more than 10 books behind closed doors.
