ppt design and production skills

With the popularity of PPT, our requirements for PPT are getting higher and higher. Now it is not just about typesetting.

We began to add design elements and design techniques to PPT production.

For example, time-travel effects, text slicing, glitch effects, etc. are becoming more and more common in PPT design.

Many PPT design works often give people a feeling: "Wow, this is actually made of PPT?"

So, what are the comparisons in slide design? Advanced skills, comparable to PS? I summarized 7 of them and shared them with you.

1. Text occlusion effect

The text interleaving effect is a common technique in poster design, and we can see it on some offline posters.

Using some distinctive pictures and interspersed text effects can enhance the layering and space of the entire picture.

Inspired by the poster of the movie "The Genius"

This is a text travel design, which is now widely used in PPT design.

For example, the following work was made using PPT to express the process of urbanization. We used the interspersed effect of text to give the entire PPT a sense of hierarchy.

There is also the following example, which looks great.

So how to create this effect using PPT? Here, we need to use two techniques in PPT, one is called Boolean operation and the other is called arbitrary polygon.

Boolean operations refer to logical operation methods such as union, intersection, and subtraction between shapes, so that simple basic graphics combinations can produce new shapes.

There is an operation that conforms to Boolean operations in PPT, which is the merge shape in the format.

For example, we select two shapes.

Click Cut and you will get a shape like this.

So in theory, as long as the two basic shapes are suitable, we can get any cutting shape we want.

Arbitrary polygon is a line drawing tool under the shape tool. We can use it to draw some simple graphics. As long as the lines are closed front and back, they can become vector shapes.

Now let me take a look at the picture below in detail. How to make it using PPT?

If you analyze it carefully, you will find that the three words "city", "jin" and "cheng" are mainly blocked by the building in front.

So, our key step is to insert-shape-find any polygon in PPT and draw the blocked part along the floor. The more detailed the painting, the better the penetration effect.

After drawing the outline around the shape, select the background image and the drawn shape to perform the intersection operation in the Boolean operation, and you can get a building that blocks the text.

Several other blocked areas can also be obtained using the same method.

2. Text separation effect

Text separation effect is also a common technique in poster design, and we can often see it in some designs.

This method has now appeared in PPT design. In previous articles, we have used such cases.

The specific method is also relatively simple. First, split some English into single letters, or split a sentence into single words, or split A single character is split into different strokes. The main function is to modify the page.

Then set the transparency of the fill color of these words.

3. Brush effect

The pictures in our PPT are usually regular graphics, either rectangular or circular. If used too much, they will look a bit monotonous.

Using a brush to fill the picture can solve this problem very well.

The production is also very simple, just use AI software to cancel the grouping, export some brush materials, or go to the website to download directly.

Then import these materials into PPT, fill the picture with shapes, and you can create a brush-effect picture.

Filling is very simple, just select the material and fill it as a picture.

4. Three-dimensional fonts

In PPT, there is an effect of text and pictures called three-dimensional rotation, which allows our elements to be more integrated into specific usage scenarios.

For example, if we perform a three-dimensional rotation on the words "2018, implement the plan and achieve the goals", we can integrate the words into specific pictures.

It's like writing words on the road.

You can take a look at the specific operation interface, select the text box, right-click to set the shape format, under the text effect option, we find Perspective - Loose, and then set the perspective angle and the Y coordinate axis. .

For details, please see the specific steps below.

5. Picture filler effect

Picture filler is also a design technique to improve the visual effect of PPT.

It is to fill the text into pictures to improve the visual expression of the text. For example, the "IDG" letters in the case below are filled with pictures.

How to make it?

Production: First select the text in the text box, then right-click and click Format Shape. Under the text option, we select text fill, then click image fill, and find a suitable picture to fill it in. .

You can look at the animation for details.

This method is relatively common in current PPT production.

For example, in the slide below, if you want to express the World Cup, fill the text with lawn, which will appear more vivid and have better visual effects.

6. Text splitting effect

PPT text can also be split, and the split text can be creatively designed.

For example, in the following case, we want to reflect the two sides of things, so we made "manipulations" on the text, separated the upper part and the lower part, and used two completely opposite things. replace.

For example, in the upper part, I filled it with sunshine; in the lower part, I filled it with rainy days. In this way we can better reflect the theme of the text.

The specific operation uses the subtraction operation in Boolean operations.

First type the text, then insert the shape, first select the text box, then select the shape at the same time, and finally click Subtract under the merged shape to get the upper part.

You can check the operation for details.

7. Fade-in text effect

This is a design method to improve the expressiveness of text. It mainly uses the gradient filling of the text box.

Just like the following case, we can see that the six words "intelligent parking system" use the fading effect.

Operation: Split the smart parking system into single words, then select the text, use the gradient fill of the text, and set one end of the gradient aperture to 100% transparency to create a gradient effect.

You can look at the animation for details.

That’s it for today, I hope you like it.
