"Playing Songs" "Break bamboo, continue bamboo, fly soil, and kill one another." (Recorded in Wu Yue Chun Qiu)-But it reflects the process of primitive people making slingshots and hunting.
Lu's Ancient Music in the Spring and Autumn Period says: "In the past, Ge Tianshi was a joy, and three people sang eight songs with their oxtails: one day they carried people, the other day they sang birds, the third day they drove away vegetation, the fourth day they worked hard for grain, the fifth day they respected the heavens, the sixth day they achieved great deeds, the seventh day they depended on the earth and virtue, and the eighth day was the culmination of all things." -"Ge Tianshi" should be a tribal chief in the legendary period. These eight gongs may be the oldest set of music known now.
There are also legends such as Song of Beating the Soil, Song of Qingyun and Song of Nanfeng in the Yao and Shun period.
