Hu Zuanzong (14980-1560), whose courtesy name was Kaosi and also named Niao Shushan, was a native of Qin'an County, Qinzhou in the Ming Dynasty. Famous officials and scholars in the Ming Dynasty.
Hu Zuan’s ancestor and father served as county magistrates for two generations. Hu Zuanzong was elected as a scholar in the 14th year of Xiaozong (1501), and was promoted to Jinshi in the 3rd year of Zhengde (1508) of Wuzong. He ranked first in the top three and was awarded the Imperial Academy for review.
In the eighth year of Zhengde (1513), he was promoted to the magistrate of Tongchuan Prefecture (Sitai, Sichuan).
In the 10th year of Zhengde (1515), he was awarded the title of Yuanwailang, an official in Huguang, Nanjing's household department.
In the 14th year of Zhengde (1519), he was transferred to Nanjing's Ministry of Civil Affairs and was appointed as the magistrate of Anqing Prefecture (Anqing, Anhui). In Anqing for more than three years, he vigorously restored social order and economic production that had been destroyed by the rebellion of King Ning Zhu Chenhao, and achieved remarkable results. When he left office in Anqing, there were tens of thousands of people in Anqing who "pulled their heads with tears in their eyes and held him back." The people took hundreds of boats to send him to Jingkou (Jiangsu Town).
He was transferred to the Fourth Prefecture of Suzhou. In the 1980s, he was named "Zhongxian Dafu" by the imperial court (Kuang Zhong was his predecessor, famous for his powerful administration). After Zhaoxue was released from prison, he continued to devote himself to writing. He is the author of 14 books including "Niao Shu Shan Ren Ji", 18 volumes of "Niao Shu Shan Ren Ji", 4 volumes of "Yue Fu" and 4 volumes of "Jin Qi Lu". "History of the Ming Dynasty and Art Chronicles", some of his works were also included in the "Sikuquanshu" of the Qing Dynasty.
Hu Zuanzong had profound attainments in literature and poetry, and was even more famous for his vigorous and hearty calligraphy. There are many ink marks on it.
