Li Zhongguang's personal experience.

1929 February 10 On the first day of the first lunar month, Li Zhongguang was born in a farmer's home in Beiluotang Village, Zhaili Town, Qixia County.

"My father and four brothers, except a boy from my uncle's family, are all women. My uncle doesn't even have a girl. I have two sisters, the second sister's nickname is younger brother, and I hope to bring a younger brother, so I was "led". The whole family was overjoyed. I also became the baby of the whole family. Real baby.

My parents were afraid that I couldn't raise enough, so they found a family with the poorest children in the village and recognized a godmother. The godmother gave me a begging basket and a dog stick. This is also one reason why I always want to beg all my life. My brother can draw an eagle, which looks very real, probably related to my love of painting. "

"I don't have any music environment at home. Dad can play some Peking Opera and sing some Peking Opera, and my sisters can sing Su Wu Shepherd, which is the only song I heard when I was a child. I haven't had a music class in grade one or two in primary school. I can sing a few words about March of the Volunteers in Grade Three and Grade Four. I have seen Japanese planes drop bombs with my own eyes, and I have also seen the Eighth Route Army hit Japanese cars, and bullets flew overhead. I have hated the Japanese since I was a child. In the sixth grade, I will sing He Luting's four seasons songs. I have also heard the Beijing Opera released by the Opera House. 13 years old, the Eighth Route Army publicized the war of resistance in the village. When the children got together and sang songs, I became interested in songs and copied them in a small book. I tried to compose my own music. It's ridiculous to think about it now. "

As an only child, Li Zhongguang's special position in the family is reflected in his father's great attention to his early education-he entered primary school at the age of 6, was sent to his aunt's house at the age of 9, left home for school at the age of1/kloc-0, and began to learn English, which was really rare in rural areas at that time. So far, he still remembers the words of the first teacher: learning Chinese makes people open one eye, and learning a foreign language makes people open the other eye.

Li Zhongguang is a gifted student, who has been cultivated with tenacious personality, strong cultural ambition and tenacious self-study ability since childhood.

/kloc-when he was 0/3 years old, he was faced with a choice-"The captain of the Eighth Route Army County Brigade and my father are good friends and strongly advised my father to let me go to Yan' an to study. My father was not at ease and finally sent me to my uncle's house in Qingdao. After arriving in Qingdao, I went to primary school for half a year. I don't want to rely on others and offer to do business and be self-reliant. As a result, I went to a cotton business as an apprentice and learned to do business. Standing at the counter, delivering goods, running errands ... I worked for 3 years and became an accountant. "

"In these three years, I learned to play the harmonica, and I will blow my brain on the way when I go out to do business. At that time, I was very interested in merry widow for the simple reason that she was a widow and very romantic. " When I was studying at my uncle's house in Qingdao, my cousin's piano inspired Li Zhongguang's infinite yearning for music. However, at that time, the tuition fee of piano lessons per hour 1 USD was astronomical to him. Since then, music has become the ultimate dream of his life, and self-study has become the usual way for him to embark on the road of music.

1945 After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Li Zhongguang felt hopeless as a businessman and turned to study. After two years of hard work, he graduated from junior high school and was promoted to senior high school without examination. Half a year later, my uncle dropped out of school again because of financial difficulties at home.

"During my two and a half years of middle school life, I became interested in music, art and literature. I have carefully studied the poems of Bing Xin, Cang Kejia, Ai Qing and Ma Fantuo, and tried to write them myself, copying them in a notebook. It's a pity that all these things are lost. It would be interesting if I could look at my homework now. "

During this time, Li Zhong learned the staff, taught himself the piano, went to live radio and went to concerts. Up to now, Miss Li still clearly remembers the track of the performance: To Alice. At that time, the music teacher Jack and his wife became the guides and role models of his music life. Their exemplary role is based on civilization and progress, not just the music level-"I have a good relationship with music teachers and often go to their homes. The teacher also copied the songs he accompanied to my album. I also painted the musician's head with beautiful colored paper, wrote the musician's life and gave them to the teacher. "

"Teacher Jack is a student of Lao Zhicheng. He taught us to sing songs and tell stories about old people. He can play the piano and compose music for the elderly. I admire him very much. I didn't expect to be able to work with the elderly in the same unit 40 years later.

Jack's wife is a music teacher in a girls' middle school. She plays the piano very well. A choir was established in our two schools. We sang The Yellow River Cantata, Ma Sicong's Motherland, Song of Eternal Sorrow and Blue Danube ... "

"My dream at that time was to have a cabin, a piano, a phonograph and a warm home like my teacher."

Old Shanghai, Nanjing West Road, street stall teenagers

At the beginning of last century, the European wind spread to the east. Shanghai Beach enjoys the glory of Oriental Paris and is at the forefront of the civilization and fashion of the times.

1June, 948, due to difficulties in family life, with the help of relatives, Li Chongguang and his father went to Shanghai and set up a stall to sell knitted lace on the bustling Nanjing West Road to make a living. Li Chongguang often holds a dictionary or harmonica in his hand, and from time to time he has to avoid being driven away by Indian patrolmen, attracting passers-by to cast surprised eyes ... The curiosity of street vendors is blooming vividly on the edge of the civilized world.

Every time I see the school bus of Shanghai Conservatory of Music passing by, Li Zhongguang, who has a musical dream, is always worried. Shanghai, like Qingdao, became another stage of his life legend. Referring to this bitter past, Mr. Li not only laughed and said that he had been to the sea more than half a century ago.

"At that time, I never dreamed that I would study at the Central Conservatory of Music, the highest music institution in China. Unexpectedly, I went to Shanghai Conservatory of Music as the principal of the middle school attached to China Conservatory of Music to express my views on music education. When I was in the Central May 7th Art School, I also stayed in an international hotel in Shanghai. "

The bumpy experience of teenagers studying not only made Li Zhongguang suffer, but also accumulated rich self-study experience, which laid a valuable natural foundation for his future research on children's music education. He laughed and called himself a "stupid teacher", thinking that teachers who are too smart can't find and solve problems patiently and meticulously from the perspective of students. Only "stupid teachers" can adapt to and understand beginners' learning ideas and open the door to music for them. From 65438 to 0949, Li Chongguang and his father returned to Qingdao from Shanghai. After the liberation of Qingdao, he and his classmates went to Beiping to catch the exam. I arrived in Beiping a week before the exam. On the eve of liberation, I successfully entered Beiping Art College and was very lucky to experience founding ceremony.

In June of the same year165438+1October, the school was merged into Tianjin Central Conservatory of Music, and Li Zhongguang became a student of the composition department of the highest music institution in China. From then on, I entered the Dream Concert Hall, full of ambition.

Open Miss Li's diploma. The bottom page of the diploma is printed with the traditional "Serving the People" and the autograph of the principal Ma Sicong.

In Li Zhongguang's words, learning from a generation of musicians in the Central Conservatory of Music is tantamount to "reaching the sky in one step". Talking about his alma mater, Li Zhongguang is full of gratitude. At the same time, I deeply regret the poor admission level and many political trends at that time. Because it took more than nine months to control the Huaihe River, the whole class who failed to reach the graduation level was postponed for one year and the study period was as long as six years.

"After graduating from college, I was assigned to the Solfeggio Teaching and Research Section of the Central Conservatory of Music to teach solfeggio. Meng Guibin, a young veteran cadre, a famous singer and composer, is in our class. There was an argument during dictation. My score was four or four beats and he recorded four or two beats. I said he was wrong, but he didn't agree. I said it should be four or two musically. I said that you should record the score according to what I played, and he had nothing to say. " 1956 In September, he was transferred to the middle school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music to teach chorus and basic music theory, and began teaching and research on music theory for 40 years.

Teaching for 50 years, writing, etc. You must have accumulated quite a lot of experience? Basic music theory is usually regarded as a basic course and is not paid much attention to?

"The basic theory of music has always been a neglected course in China (in fact, it is the same all over the world). It came into being the earliest, but it has the most problems.

The only basic book of music theory in the student days was An Introduction to Song Music Theory compiled by Mr. Miao. I taught basic music theory in a summer training class in Xinxiang. I regard this book as a reference for teachers and masters of Tianjin Cultural Palace to learn basic music theory.

I have taught the basic theory of music for more than 50 years, but I have never taken this course. Fortunately, when I officially started classes, the Chinese translation of Sposobin's Basic Theory of Music was officially published. This is an unprecedented basic music theory textbook with high academic value. I have learned a lot of new knowledge that I have never heard before. This is an eye-opener and I am deeply encouraged. Just because I often say this book is good, my lovely student drew a cartoon in the movement, which was hung from the third floor of Tianjin Conservatory of Music to the first floor, showing Sposobin sitting on the lotus seat and I worshiped below. After the movement, until now, I still say that Sposobin's Basic Theory of Music is a very good textbook of basic theory of music. "

Frank, honest and frank, meticulous, Mr. Li Zhongguang has always been like this. In a letter to Zhao Gan, he wrote frankly:

"Looking for academic value in my humble works, I found nothing, and suddenly remembered a sentence that someone said: Li Zhongguang's book is not an academic work. I couldn't accept this sentence at that time, but now I think it makes sense, so I don't need it if I want to find academic value in non-academic books. At the same time, I also thought of what another person said: Li Zhongguang's book has a strong operability, and I didn't understand it at that time. How can I get an operability? The more I thought about it, the more interesting it became. The book published now seems to lack some operability. My books are all from teaching practice, which is more convenient to operate. So I think my book lacks academic value, but it has practical value, which is probably an important reason why it can survive for more than 40 years and sell more than 4 million books. "
