Cen Can, a generation of poets, cares about the world. Why did he end up poor in another country?

Cen Can is a representative figure of Frontier Poetry School. Frontier poetry is a school of poetry formed between Kaiyuan and Tianbao (AD 7 13 ~ 755) in the Tang Dynasty. His poems mostly describe the frontier fortress scenery and war scenes, and show the heroic optimism of soldiers and the complicated and contradictory feelings in their military career. The poetic style is high-spirited and unrestrained, with a strong romantic color.

Cen Can (AD 7 15~770) is a descendant of Cen Wenben. Nanyang Jiyang (now Xinye County) people. Because he was the governor in history (now Leshan City, Sichuan Province), he was later called Cenjiazhou. Cen Can was born in a bureaucratic family and began to study at the age of five. At the age of nine, he was able to write beautiful articles. /kloc-when he was 0/5 years old, his father died unfortunately and his family came down. He followed his brother to study and read classics. Tianbao was admitted to the Jinshi in three years, and Cao was awarded the military symbol to join the army. Tianbao went to Anxi and Wuwei with Gao Xianzhi for eight years. At that time, he was full of ambition to serve the country and wanted to explore the future in his military career, but he was always unhappy and soon returned to Chang 'an. During his stay in Chang 'an, he sang with famous poets such as Du Fu and Gao Shi.

In the autumn of the eleventh year of Tianbao, Du Fu and other five people boarded the Ci 'en Temple Tower and wrote a poem on the same topic. Ci 'en Temple Pagoda is the famous Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi. Cen Can is the youngest of the five. Because of his frontier life, his poems are bolder and more unique. Poetry chanting by Yanta is an important event in the history of China literature. In the 13th year of Tianbao, 40-year-old Cen Can went to the frontier for the second time with the idea of "knowing the frontier plan early and never leaving" and was appointed as the judge of the Qing shogunate in Anxi. Shen Cen's talent was greatly appreciated. At this time, the poet was rich in creation, and frontier poems were mostly written at this time, among which "Farewell to Wu Gui in Tian Wu" is the poet's masterpiece:

"The north wind rolled the white grass and blew them. Eight In the snow crossed the Tatar sky. Suddenly, like a night wind blowing, like a pear tree in blossom. Scattered beads and wet curtains, a fur coat feels cold, and a cotton pad is as thin as a cicada. The general used cold hands to protect his hands. The armored steel was too cold to wear. The desert freezes over/kloc-0.000 feet, with a crack, and the sky is full of darkness and melancholy. In the manager's account, this wine is a farewell party, and the Huqin Pipa flute ensemble adds luster to this entertainment. In the evening, in front of the headquarters gate, heavy snow fell, the red flag froze, and the wind could not move. " Luntai East Gate, welcome to the capital, you have left, and Tianshan Road is covered with snow. ".Then he disappeared at the corner of the pass, leaving only his hoofprint. This farewell work vividly depicts the beauty of the snow scene in the frontier, and expresses the poet's sincere and profound friendship and love for the frontier scenery and frontier life, especially the novel metaphor of "When the spring breeze comes, the petals of ten thousand pear trees blow open at night", which is a masterpiece and is well-known.

In June of the 15th year of Tianbao, An Lushan rebels captured Chang 'an. In the second year of Zhide (AD 757), Su Zong moved from Lingwu to Fengxiang, and Cen Can came to Fengxiang from Jiuquan. Due to the recommendation of Du Fu and others,

Su Zong appointed him as the right vacancy. In October, I followed Su Zong back to Chang 'an. During this period, his poems profoundly showed the broken motherland, people's life pain and deep hatred for the enemy, such as the poem "March for nine days and think about Chang 'an's hometown":

On the ninth festival of the ninth day of September, I reluctantly climbed to the heights to look out, but no one could deliver wine in the marching war.

Distant pity for chrysanthemum in hometown should be caused by war.

I feel lyrical at the scene, and I feel sad when I am sad. In the first year of Yongtai (AD 765), Cen Can, who was 5 1 year old, became the governor of Jiazhou (now Leshan City, Sichuan Province), and was later dismissed from office and moved to Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In the first month of the fifth year of Dali (AD 770), this outstanding poet died in poverty in Chengdu Guest House. On the eve of his death, the poet wrote a poem: "The guest will return home with sorrow and autumn, and give a main curtain": "Three terms will make you bald, and once you go to the five classics, the sage Mo Yan will not need it, and his life will not rest! The years on earth are like flowing water, and the autumn wind in the guest house rises again today. I don't know who to talk about, and the cicadas on the river are full of ears. " This poem can be said to be his last elegy and a summary of his life experience and thoughts.

Cen Can is good at seven-character poems and has many excellent five-character poems. He left us more than 350 poems in his life, among which the Collection of Poems by Cenjiazhou is spread all over the world. Cen Can boarded the Great Wall many times and had a long-term observation and profound understanding of the life and scenery in the frontier. He displayed the magnificent picture of the Great Wall with a large number of unique poems and enthusiastically praised the fighting spirit of the frontier soldiers. These poems reflect the author's positive and optimistic attitude towards life and his thoughts and feelings of loving the great rivers and mountains of the motherland. The poet's imagination is rich, his ideas are novel, his language is lively, and his rhyme changes naturally, forming a magnificent romantic style. The volcano Huang Yun, the violent wind and snowstorm, the flying sand and stones, the golden flag and the Huqin Qiangdi depicted in the poem all give people wonderful artistic enjoyment. Cen Can's poems have always been loved by people. It is said that every poem written by Cen Can is imitated and recited not only by Han officials and people, but also by soldiers and civilians of ethnic minorities. Lu You, a great poet in the Song Dynasty, spoke highly of him, saying that he was "chasing Li and Du with pen power" and "second only to Taibai and Zimei". Yan Yu said in Cang Hua: "Gao and Cen's poems are tragic and sad to read!"

(High is high, which is another representative figure of the Frontier Poetry School. Yao Shifu, a litterateur in Qing Dynasty, praised Cen Can in On Poetry: "Wang Liguo was the teacher of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Anyone who can understand the customs of Xiangyang will believe that history is curious. " (See "Old Tang Book" Volume 60 and "New Tang Book" Volume 72)
