All beings create all kinds of bad karma with greed, greed and delusion, and when they die, they degenerate in extremely painful places, which is collectively called bad karma.
If someone always holds a grudge and hurts all beings by body, language or other means, so that all beings suffer deeply, they will fall into hell after death. There are countless beings in hell, like the dust on the ground. As long as you fall into hell, you will always suffer extremely severe pain, have no time to go out, have almost no hope of liberation, and of course there will be no happiness at all.
Hell can be divided into eight hot hell, eight cold hell, near hell and solitary hell, which add up to eighteen hell. (Folks misunderstand it as "eighteen-story" hell —— Look at Snowman's Notes)
Lonely hell
Lonely hell has no specific scope, and all beings in lonely hell are uncertain. "The soul is attached to doorposts, stoves, ropes, etc. And Heng Chang made it suffer from loneliness. 」
Some sentient beings may be trapped in valleys, rocks, or water, frozen in ice, some in tree trunks, or hidden in other utensils, such as brooms, ropes, cylinders, columns or doors. And bear different pains according to their position. People who incarnate in the pillar will regard the pillar as their own, support the house very hard and suffer there; When trees are cut down, people who incarnate in the trunk will feel the pain of being dismembered, and all beings who enter these places will enter a lonely hell.
The Buddha once said that there are hundreds of millions of beings in a glass of water, but we can't see them with the naked eye. In other words, there are many lonely beings incarnate in the water in hell. It is very likely that bacteria and viruses belong to all beings in hell-see the snowman's note)
The story of reincarnation and lonely hell
Once upon a time, the great master Tang Dong Jibo was practicing yoga on a big stone one day. He said to his disciples, "Do you know that there is a lonely creature in this stone?" "No one believes it. So he cut the stone in half and there was a big frog in it. There are countless bugs gnawing at it, which is very painful. Disciple asked Tang Priest and his disciples, Why are there such sentient beings? The master replied, "He is a reincarnation of a guru who is supported by flesh and blood. 」
In the time of Buddha, there was a butcher who had to kill during the day. In order to alleviate his bad karma, he vowed not to kill anything every night until he woke up the next morning. After his death, he was reincarnated into a lonely hell for various reasons. Whenever it starts to get dark, his house becomes a very gorgeous palace, and four beautiful women serve him and are very happy. However, at dawn the next day, the whole house became an iron house on fire, and four beautiful women became four vicious dogs that kept biting him. This is because he vowed not to kill at night, but engaged in killing during the day. In addition, 500 monks live in a solemn temple. During the day, everyone can live in harmony and recite the scriptures seriously, but at noon, when the monks get together to prepare for dinner, the pots and pans in their hands immediately become weapons, and the whole temple becomes a burning iron house, and the monks begin to fight with each other. After lunch time, the pure monk group resumed. The Buddha said that this is a different kind of ripe fruit when a group of monks fought with each other at noon when they were in Gaya Buddha. This happy and painful life is also a phenomenon of lonely hell.
In the past, in our hometown, a group of people worked in hydropower stations. When they were digging a waterway on the road, there was a very big stone in the middle of the road, and they blew it up with explosives. When the big stone was blasted, there was a hole as big as a bowl, and a live white snake curled up there. As we all know, Tibetans are very taboo about killing animals. They even avoid killing snakes. Because Tibetans believe that in the karma of hatred, no animal is more hateful than a snake. If a snake is killed, its hatred may be transferred to people, so it is particularly afraid of killing snakes. So they released it immediately. After they were released, they continued to dig down and met another big stone. They blew up the stone again and saw a white snake living in the stone. At this moment, an old monk happened to pass by. He asked everyone to stone the snake to death, and then he helped it surpass it. There are many such things. As long as there is a place that will suffer, these beings may exist, and lonely hell can be said to be everywhere.
Eight-hot hell
"Especially in hell, the sword on the hot iron foundation broke your head, sawed off your limbs, ignited a raging fire, whined and was trapped in an iron house without doors, burning with punishment halberds and molten copper, and burning with flames. This is the eight hot prisons. " The eight hot spots in the prison are places where iron is burned, which is very hot. As long as your feet touch the ground slightly, you will be burned. Master Silent Heaven said in "On Bodhisattva", who created the burning hell? Who was the messenger of Yan? It's not caused by others, it's all your own disgusting evil cause and bad consequences.
Eight hot hell is divided into the following eight types:
1. Waiting for a life in hell
In the hell on earth, there are fiery red embers on the extremely hot iron floor. All sentient beings who feel the same karma will gather here like a snowstorm and suffer from karma. Although all beings in hell are already in great pain, they are still enemies of each other, killing each other with weapons of intense hatred and karmic transformation. When they kill each other and die, a voice in the void will call them back to life. Because of their evil deeds, as soon as they are resurrected, they will kill each other again, which will be endless pain.
If we take 50 years on earth as one day for the four kings and 500 years for the hell on earth to calculate the life span of all beings waiting for the hell on earth, then all beings here will suffer from the hell on earth for 500 years.
2. Black rope hell
In the black rope hell, there is an extremely hot iron ground. The jailers in Yamaraja brought all the creatures whose bodies looked like firewood here, drew lines on each of them with a black rope, and divided them into four, eight, sixteen, thirty-two and so on. Then cut the body with a fiery red iron saw according to the size of the measuring line. When their bodies are cut open by a live saw, they will be glued and resurrected immediately, so they have been suffering from being sawed repeatedly.
The life span of all beings in Black Rope Hell is calculated by taking one hundred years on earth as a day of thirty-three days, and thirty-three days in one thousand years is a day in Black Rope Hell, where all beings will suffer from Black Rope Hell for one thousand years.
The reason why all beings in Black Rope Hell have suffered so tragically is that they have made other beings suffer the same pain before! Nowadays, when many people cut sashimi, don't they all slice live fish?
3. All in hell
In all hell, there is a big iron mortar as big as a big basin, where all beings with the same evil deeds gather. The jailer in Yamaraja will hold an iron pestle as big as Mount Sumeru and smash all beings in the iron mortar up and down. They were in the iron mortar, very scared, shouted for help, and were finally killed one by one. However, when the jailer picks up the iron pestle, they will come back to life; When the pestle goes down again, they will be smashed into pieces immediately.
And the phenomenon of hell. There will be mountains and valleys on both sides. There are countless beings in the valley. The valley is the embodiment of the heads of cattle, sheep, horses, deer and other animals killed by these sentient beings in the past. Their horns are on fire. When their horns collide with each other and collide with each other, the mountains and valleys on both sides will be sandwiched together and kill all these beings. However, when the mountains on both sides are separated, they will all come back to life and bear the pain of being caught back and forth and repeating their lives.
These cruel punishments in hell are just like some people now put a lot of live small fish and shrimp in iron drums and mash them into fish sauce and shrimp paste. When people satisfy their greed, they ignore the painful feeling of fish and shrimp being hit by a hammer and howling. This karma is caused before death, and of course it will suffer after death.
The life span of all beings in the combined hell is calculated by taking 200 years as a night skyscraper, and the night skyscraper in 2000 is a day of the combined hell, where all beings in the combined hell will suffer the pain of two thousand years of hell.
This is called hell.
Howling all beings in hell, they are locked in a room without any doors and windows, and the room is extremely hot. Because these sentient beings are suffering from this drama, they can't escape, and they can only make a sad and violent wail in their hearts, so they are called howling hell.
Just like some people burn the pot red in order to enjoy the delicious food, and put the living little life that can nourish the body into the pot to fry, cook, cook and stew, there must be screams in the pot, but few people pay attention to the sad sounds made by these lives.
The life span of all beings nicknamed hell is calculated by taking 400 years on earth as a day, and 4000 years on earth is a day nicknamed hell, where all beings nicknamed hell will suffer for 4000 years.
5. tuba is called hell
In a large-scale hell, the jailer will use terrible weapons to drive all beings who fall into it into a hot iron room with double iron doors. The pain here is twice that of hell, and they will be beaten by the jailer with a pestle. They know that even if they escape from the inner door, they can't escape from the outer door, so they all cry loudly and sadly, so they are called mass hell.
Tuba is called the life span of all beings in hell, and 800 years on earth is a happy day. This 8000-year happiness is a day when Tuba people are called hell, and they will suffer in this 8000-year happiness.
6. Hot hell
The hot hell is like an iron pot as big as three thousand worlds, which is full of boiling copper paste and iron juice. Many sentient beings with the same karma are suffering from the drama of cooking in the boiling paste. As soon as they came up, the jailer would hook them with an iron hook and knock them unconscious with a hammer. After they were knocked unconscious, they thought they were happy. When they wake up, they will feel endless drama. It's like someone heating the oil in the pot and cooking the live seafood in the pot. Some live fish jump up because of the pain in the pot, and people will hold it down with a shovel. This is how all living things in hot hell cook!
The life span of all beings in a hot prison is calculated by taking 1600 years on earth as a day when they leave heaven, and 16000 years from heaven is equivalent to a day of hot hell, where they will suffer from 16000 years of hot hell.
7. Extremely hot hell
Extremely hot hell is in an iron house burning with flames. The jailer in Yamaraja used an iron fork to fork up the living beings here for barbecue. Forks pierce the feet and anus of all beings, pass through the shoulders and the top of the head, and then wrap them in burning iron pieces and roll them around, just like some people now roast fish, suckling pigs and birds. The life span of all beings in extremely hot prisons is as long as half a bullet, which cannot be calculated by the time of human life.
8. endless hell
Never Hell is a fiery iron house, surrounded by sixteen nearby hells. The jailers put countless beings who fell into this place in the middle of the iron mountain like charcoal, and kept blowing fire, so that the raging fire burned the bodies of these beings. Powerful firepower covered their bodies, only their tragic cries could be heard, but they could not be seen. They tried to escape, but there was no chance. As long as they try to escape from the fire wall, the jailer will kill them with hammers and sticks at any time and pour hot iron slurry into their mouths. They will feel the pain of seven kinds of hell beings in front of them, day and night, all the time.
All beings in the endless hell, once their lives are robbed, have almost no time to go out. There is really no greater pain than here, so it is called endless hell.
Who will fall into endless hell? If you are disrespectful to your parents before your death, those who killed their parents, killed arhat, shed Buddha's blood and broke up with monks will fall into endless hell. The so-called breaking peace with monks is to sow discord between monks and nuns. In the secular world, the sin of two tongues is not very serious, but if we alienate the monks among the four monks in the monk group and split the monk group, it is to break up and unite the monk group.
In addition, those who have entered the Vajrayana, but have Jaken on it, have committed these crimes, and will immediately enter endless hell as soon as they die. This place will not be reincarnated with other karma. In 7749 days after the death of ordinary people, the location of reincarnation will be determined by good and evil karma; However, after death, all beings who commit infernal affairs will not go through the yin period, but will directly fall into endless hell to be punished.
Close to hell
There are five kinds of hell nearby: simmering hell, corpse dung hell, sword original hell, sword forest hell and Tiezhu Mountain hell. "The blade of the plain is full of thorns, and the sword Ye Shanlin fragment is the first, and it drives into the infinite river of resin mud simmering, and the joys and sorrows change seamlessly at the prison edge. 」
In the east, west, north and south of endless hell, there are four hells on each side, such as simmering hell, corpse dung hell, sword original hell and sword forest hell, with a total of sixteen hells. There is an iron pillar mountain in the southeast, northeast, southwest and northwest, and there are four iron pillar mountains.
1. Suffering in hell
When all beings in the fire were freed from the fire after the karma was lifted, they saw a dark shady place in the distance and thought it was a cool place, so they ran happily. As soon as they entered, they fell into the burning pit of charcoal fire, and as a result, they were burned to the skin, bloody and extremely painful.
2. Rotting corpses and excrement hell
When the people suffering in hell were freed, they saw a river in the distance. Because in the hell ahead, they are constantly on fire and they are very hungry. They thought there was water to drink, so they ran happily. As a result, they were caught in the sludge of rotting corpses, such as human bodies, horses and dogs, which were drilled out by millions of bugs. All beings who enter this hell seem to be trapped in quicksand, and eventually their whole bodies will be submerged, and many insects with iron mouths will continue to peck them and suffer endless pain.
3. The sword is the primitive hell.
When the evil deeds of all beings in carrion and dung hell are alleviated, they will see a bright green grassland after liberation, and they are very happy. When they ran past, they found that it was a sword trampled by a large weapon, and the whole land was covered with sharp burning iron thorns. As soon as you step on your right foot, you prick a hole, and when you lift it, it will return to its original state. The same is true for the left foot. It is very painful to step on it and get stabbed in turn.
4. Sword Forest Hell
The sentient beings who have just been freed from hell in front will see a very beautiful forest after coming out. When he was running excitedly, he met a large sword forest. These trunks are made of iron, and leaves like swords grow on the iron stems. As soon as they walked in, the leaves danced with the wind and waved like swords, cutting the bodies of these creatures into pieces; As soon as the wind blows, the body will return to its original state, thus repeating the pain of being cut.
5. Tiezhu Mountain
Anyone who destroys Sanskrit before his death, such as a monk who breaks the precepts, or a layman who is at home because of lewdness, will suffer in this hell. Due to the traction of karma, these sentient beings came to Tiezhu Mountain, and they would hear their former lovers calling on the top of Tiezhu Mountain, so they climbed the mountain. When they climb up, they will be pierced by the downward growing leaves of Cycas, penetrating the body; When you climb to the top of the mountain, you will be pecked by many crows and pigeons. At this time, I heard the voice of my former lover calling from the foot of the mountain and hurried down the mountain. At this time, the branches of the cycad pierced the body in the opposite direction and pierced the back; When they reached the foot of the mountain, many terrible iron men and iron women rushed to hug him (her) and chew their heads up. Ironman Iron Maiden still has white brains in her mouth, which is extremely painful.
Eight cold hell
All beings in the Eight Cold Hell are naked because of karma, and they have to endure the pain of cold and freezing every minute where there are icebergs, snow and snow everywhere. "The snow-capped mountains are frozen beside them, and there is a terrible snowstorm in the deep valley. Because of the cold wind, the appearance is damaged, the blistering hell is even cracked. Extremely bitter, continuous, painful and embarrassing to endure. The essence dissipates like a dying patient, groaning, teeth cracked like petals, and the wound is soft and then cracked into eight cold prisons. " Eight cold hell pain is as follows:
1. Blister Hell
Blister hell is extremely cold, and all beings who fall into it have many blister sores on their bare bodies due to frostbite, so it is called blister hell.
2. Blisters crack hell
Because the blisters on the body will crack and form sores because of the cold weather, it is called blister hell.
3. Grit your teeth and go to hell
Because it is unbearably cold, all beings in hell here bite their teeth and endure it, so it is called the hell of gritting their teeth.
4. A Qiu Hell
All beings here are naked in the snow, and the cold is suffocating. They have no clothes to keep out the cold, so cold that their teeth can't help shivering, and they keep making ugly noises, so they are called ugly hell.
Shout to hell
When Atchoo's voice disappears with the cold, all beings in the hell here are so cold that their teeth can't tremble and their mouths are so stiff that they can only open their mouths and give a whimpering sigh, so they are called Sobbing Hell.
6. crack like utpala hell.
The skin of all beings here is frozen blue, and the body is frozen into a four-petal lotus, so it is called a crack like hell in Yu Dou.
7. Split like a red-violet hell
The creatures here are so cold that the meat under the skin is frozen red and cracked into eight pieces, so it is called a red-violet hell.
8. Cracked like a giant red-violet hell.
All beings in this hell are frozen until their bodies turn black and red, and the blood in their bodies can't be sprayed out because of freezing, so the skin splits like a lotus flower, splitting into sixteen petals, thirty-two petals, and even countless petals, so it is called Dahonglian Hell. In a frozen wound, many insects with iron mouths will crawl into their bodies and bite people, which is extremely painful.

How long is the life span of all beings in Eight Cold Hell? For example, if a large pot with a capacity of 200 liters (the capacity unit used in the ancient Indian city of Gosala) is filled with sesame seeds, and only one seed is taken out every 100 years, then the life of all beings in the blistered hell will not end until all the sesame seeds are taken out. The life span of other cold hell creatures is 20 times that of the last one, for example, the life span of bubble hell creatures is 20 times that of bubble hell creatures, and so on. The life span of all beings in Eight Cold Hell is getting longer and longer, and the pain is getting stronger and stronger. Let's imagine that as long as we stand in the snow in thin clothes, we can't stand the cold, not to mention that all beings in the Eight Cold Hell suffer naked in these hell. Therefore, we should show infinite compassion to all beings in Eight Cold Hell!
Merciful beings in hell.
When Sakyamuni Buddha once explained various horror scenes and karma in hell, several monks became more and more afraid, so that blood oozed from capillaries all over their bodies. Let's think about it. These beings in hell are our parents reincarnated in previous lives. Then, will our parents and relatives in this world also enter these painful hell in the future? Now I have committed countless crimes of hatred and anger in my life, and I will definitely fall into these places in the future!
When we know the number, life span, suffering and cause and effect of reincarnation of all beings in hell, we should have extensive compassion for all beings in hell and hope that all beings who fall into these hell can be freed. Now that I have got leisure, met a virtuous guru and heard the essence of Buddhism, I should practice diligently according to law and try my best to repent my past sins. I hope that I and all sentient beings will not fall into hell! 、
